Documents Needed for JEE Advanced Registration 2026: Candidates filling JEE Advanced application form must ensure that they have all necessary documents ready for upload. During JEE Advanced 2026 application process, candidates have to upload various scanned documents as proof of reservation and identity. While some documents are mandatory for all candidates, others are required only for those who are applying under any reservation. The JEE Advanced application process for Indian nationals will not require submission of photos and signatures, as they will be automatically populated from JEE Main database. However, foreign national candidates will be required to upload their scanned photos and signatures.

Documents Required for JEE Advanced Registration for Foreign National Candidates

The foreign nationals applying for JEE Advanced must keep following documents ready when filling out JEE Advanced application form:

  • Birth certificate or Class 10 certificate for age proof.
  • Class XII (or equivalent examination) certificate {for those who appeared first time for this examination in 2024 or 2026 or whose Board declared Class XII (or equivalent examination) result of academic session 2022-23 on or after June 28, 2023}. If marksheet of Class XII (or equivalent examination) for 2026 is available, then it must be uploaded.
  • If candidate’s name is not same as in Class X certificate, a gazette notification showing change of name

List of Documents Needed by Candidates who Dropped Out Between November 5 and November 18, 2024

  1. A letter duly stamped and signed, from the Head of their Institution (Dean/Principal/Director), as per the format given in the updated JEE Advanced 2026 information brochure.
  2. An affidavit duly stamped and attested by a notary public, on a nonjudicial stamp paper of INR 10 as per the format given in the updated JEE Advanced 2026 information brochure. The affidavit should be of the candidate if she/he is more than 18 years of age. If the candidate is less than 18 years of age, the affidavit should be given by her/his parent or legal guardian.
  3. Withdrawal letter/notification issued to the candidate from her/his college/university/institute.

Q:   Is there any application form correction facility for JEE Advanced exam?
A:

No, there is no correction facility made available for JEE Advanced 026. Once a candidate has submitted the online JEE Advanced form by paying the application fee, there will be no option availale to edit the form and make corrections. Therefore candidates must submit the form after checking all the entries. Check for these errors:

  • Spelling mistakes
  • Document upload
  • Exam centre perferences
  • Reservation details filled
Q:   I have made spelling error in JEE Advanced application form, what to do?
A:

Since in JEE Advanced, the application form correction window does not open, if you have made any mistake aftyer the form is submitted you cannot change it. In such case please contact the coordinating IIT as mentioned on the official brochure.

However, if you have not submitted the form, the you can make correction in the form as many times. Just ensure that all the details in the form has been rectified before the final submission.

Q:   What details are needed to login after registering for JEE Advanced exam?
A:

After JEE Advanced registration is done, the candidates must login using their JEE Main aopplication number and date of birth / password. However, these details are subjected to change each year., The login windo will diaply the details needed. Hence for login, candidates should always keep these details handy:

Overall, 50-55% seats are reserved in IITs. The break-up of reservation is - 27% for OBC-NCL, 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, 10% for Gen-EWS and 5% horizontal reservation for PwD candidates.
