IBPS PO 2025 Result: The IBPS PO 2025-26 final result (CRP PO/MT-XV) has been released on January 15, 2026 by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS). The link is activated on the official website at ibps.in. A direct link is also provided below. The final result consists of the detailed information about the total number of candidates selected for the probationary posts. Candidates can check their names and scores directly from the document released officially. The closure date of the result is February 14, 2026. Along with the result, the IBPS PO cut off also announced.

IBPS PO Result for Final/Provisional Allotment

This year, a candidate belonging to reserved category, selected on the basis of norms as applicable to General Category, has been treated at par with a General category candidate. Such own merit candidates belonging to reserved categories who are provisionally allotted under unreserved (General) category will not be adjusted against a reserved post. However, their original category as registered in the online registration will remain unchanged. After the announcement of the result, candidates next step is to do joining, training, and also taking up the responsibilities as Probationary Officers.

Candidates should qualify in both the online mains exam and interview and should be high in merit to be shortlisted for the provisional allotment process. The allotment to different banks is done on the basis of final vacancies and merit-cum-preference. Selected candidates need to fulfil the eligibility criteria of the participating banks and identity verification. Offer of appointment and joining formalities are done by the allotted participating banks. The final result of IBPS PO is declared after converting the marks out of 100. The provisional allotment of candidates is done on the basis of merit-cum-preference. The letter of appointment is issued to the qualified candidates by the participating banks after ascertaining their eligibility.

Q:   How is the provisional allotment through IBPS PO exam done?
A: 
The provisional allotment is subject to the candidate fulfilling the criteria for Participating Banks and identity verification to the satisfaction of the allotted bank. This does not constitute an offer of employment. In case it is detected at any stage of the recruitment process that, the candidate does not satisfy the eligibility criteria his/her candidature/ chance in the process shall stand cancelled. IBPS PO final allotment is done based on the performance in the Mains exam and interview. As the provisional allotment will be made to participating banks on merit cum preference basis, once the provisional allotment is made, no request for change shall be entertained. Any request for change shall result in cancellation of candidature.
Q:   What is the selection criteria in IBPS PO interview?
A: 

The selection of candidates for the interview is done on the basis of Mains exam. The interview carries 100 marks. After clearing it, candidate will be considered selected. The Mains exam was conducted on October 12.

How Can I Check IBPS PO Result 2025?

The authority released the IBPS PO 2025 Final result on January 15 and the date of closure of the result is February 14, 2026. The Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection released the IBPS PO mains scorecard 2025 on January 9 and the closure date was January 14, 2026 The Mains result was declared on December 1. The prelims result was declared on September 26, 2025. The IBPS PO result was released online only and the candidates will be required to check their result online only through their registration number and date of birth/password.

IBPS PO Prelims Result 

The preliminary exam of IBPS PO comprised three sections: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. The maximum marks allotted for the prelims exam are 100. Candidates are required to qualify for each test by securing the minimum qualifying marks.

Total Score = Score obtained in English Language + Reasoning Ability + Quantitative Aptitude

IBPS PO mains result is declared to select eligible candidates for the interview rounds. The marks of the mains exam are taken into consideration for calculating the final merit list. The mains exam is conducted for 225 marks. The test carries four objective-type papers and one descriptive paper. The sections of the objective type paper are Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness, English Language and Data Analysis & Interpretation. Q:   How many candidates are selected for an interview in IBPS PO?
A: 

The ratio of candidates selected for an interview are 80:20. Aspirants are selected based on mains exam and their performance in interview is based upon final merit list. The interview is held for 100 marks. The minimum qualifying marks are 40 per cent and for SC/ST/OBC/PWBD are 35 per cent.

Q:   Does IBPS maintains reserve list for IBPS PO exam?
A: 

A reserve list to the extent of approximately 10 percent of the vacancies under each category may be kept, subject to the availability of candidates. This does not guarantee provisional allotment to/recruitment by the participating banks. In the event of Participating Banks providing further vacancies, provisional allotment may be carried out three to four times for the candidates in the reserve list.

Issuance of offer of appointment including terms and conditions, formalities for verification, joining etc. Is solely the decision of the participating banks and shall be final and binding. IBPS shall have no role therein. Any queries in this regard shall be directed to the participating banks only. The final selection of candidates is done based on the Mains exam and interview. The marks are normalised out of 100 to announce the final result of IBPS PO. The provisional allotment of candidates is done based on merit-cum-preference of candidates.
