The university releases individual rank cards for examinees, however it does not publish a score or rank list. The procedures to verify this are listed below.

Go to the official website at https://wbjeeb.in/pumdet/ and select 'Rank Card for PUMDET 2025' under 'Important Links'.

A new page will be displayed to you. Enter a case-sensitive security pin (captcha), your application number, and your birthdate.
After that, the candidate must click the sign-in button.
The screen will display PUMDET rank cards. It will include total scores and pertinent ranks.
In order to present the rank card during the counseling procedure, you must download it.

WBJEEB will prepare the merit ranks based on the candidates' scores in the PUMDET 2025.

• The rank shall be in the name and style of ‘GMR’ (General Merit Rank).
• The ranking will be done in descending order of marks scored in the PUMDET exam.
• Separate reserved category merit positions will also be indicated for the respective category of students: SC rank, ST rank, OBC-A rank, OBC-B rank, or PWD rank as applicable.
• Counselling/ allotment of seats/ admission will be done based on GMR.

If two or more students get same score or rank in entrance exam, then university uses a tie-break rule to decide the final rank. Process goes like this:

• Candidate who has less negative marks will get a higher rank.
• If tie still doesn’t break even after that, then all those students are given same rank, and they are all allowed for counselling and admission together because of bunching effect.

PUMDET counselling takes place once the results are declared. On the basis of the counselling process, examinees are allotted seats to their preferred programmes in Presidency University. During the counselling, document verification takes place where candidates also have to produce their rank cards. PUMDET counselling takes place in several rounds and the seat allotment lists for each round are published separately on the exam's official website.
