The Bar Council of India has begun the AIBE 21 Application Process 2026. The BCI announced the AIBE 21 Exam Date on allindiabarexamination.com. The All India Bar Examination XXI (AIBE 21) will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode. Candidates can fill the AIBE 21 Application Form 2026 by visiting allindiabarexamination.com. The last date to complete AIBE 21 Registration 2026 is April 30, 2026.

The registration process for AIBE 2026 is completely online. As per the AIBE Notification, the AIBE XXI (21) 2026 admit cards will be released on May 22, 2026. Candidates must note that the BCI will now conduct the AIBE Examtwice a year.Those who will clear the exam will be Certificate of Practicewhich is mandatory to practice law in the country. AIBE 2026 Registration Date

The BCI announced the AIBE 21 (XXI) Registration Dates 2026 along with the AIBE Notification. The BCI released all the important dates along with the AIBE 21 Notification 2026. Candidates can complete the AIBE Registration 2026 until April 30, 2026. Candidates must note that they can apply online only, including payment of the application fee. The AIBE XXI (21) registration fee is INR 3,500 for the General/OBC category and INR 2,500 for SC/ST category. While filling out the AIBE registration and application form, candidates should keep a note of the following points:

  • Candidates should meet the prescribed AIBE eligibility criteria
  • All documents to be uploaded should be self-attested by the candidates
  • BCI will reject any document without self-attestation
  • Candidates do not need to send any document by post to BCI
  • Candidates must keep a printout of the duly-filled and submitted application form with themselves for reference
  • BCI does not provide online application correction window. In case of any discrepancy in the information entered in the application form, candidates have to e-mail it to BCI to get it rectified.

AIBE 21 Exam Date 2025

The BCI will conduct the AIBE 21 Exam at the test centres across India. It will be held in pen and paper mode for three hours. There will be around 100 multiple choice questions in AIBE exam. Candidates looking to sit for the exam must follow the exam day instructions issued along with the AIBE admit card. It must be noted that without the hall ticket candidates won't get entry in the AIBE Test Centre. AIBE Exam Date 2026 is June 7, 2026.

 AIBE exam monitoring committee will declare the AIBE results after verification of answer key-related claims made by candidates. The results of AIBE examination will be published on the official website. Candidates can check their AIBE results by logging in to their registered accounts using their roll number and date of birth. All candidates belonging to General/ OBC category have to secure a minimum of 40 per cent to qualify the exam. Those belonging to SC/ ST/PWD category have to secure at least 35% to qualify the bar examination.

Q:   How to obtain the CoP after clearing AIBE exam?

Candidates who will successfully pass the AIBE exam will be issued the CoP by BCI. The qualified candidates will have to collect their Certificate of Practice from their respective State Bar Councils. It is a mandatory document to practice Law in India.

The AIBE syllabus is considered moderate in difficulty, focusing on fundamental legal concepts rather than complex, specialised knowledge. However, since it is no more the open-book exam, candidates have huge syllabus to cover.
