Why Candidates Run Out of Time in AIBE Exam?

Since there is no negative marking, you should ideally attempt all 100 questions. The real challenge is completing the paper comfortably within time. However, from previous years’ AIBE Exam Analysis, candidates usually lose time because

  • They spend way too much time on IPC problem-based questions
  • They do not try to solve questions on their own and start referring to bare acts for every question
  • They ignore easy sections like Professional Ethics
  • They leave OMR filling for the last few minutes

Candidates must understand that AIBE is not about perfection but about smart selection and flow.

How to solve AIBE Question Paper in three hours?

To help you understand how to solve the AIBE Question Paper within the given time frame, you need a practical strategy. Candidates can check the same below:

  • First 60-70 Minutes: Build Flow

Try to solve those questions first that you are sure of. Start with questions you can answer instantly. Do not open bare acts unless necessary. This boosts confidence and reduces pressure for the remaining paper.  Put more focus on topics like

Try to solve atleast 45-50 questions during this time frame.

  • Next 80–90 Minutes: Controlled Bare Act Usage

Now that you have solved questions you were 100% sure about its time to move to heavier subjects like IPC, CrPC, CPC, Contract Law & Evidence Act. Do not start reading entire provisions unless they are needed. Do not pick bare acts until you want to confirm section language or clear confusion. Go directly to relevant sections using the index. Make sure you solve at least 30-35 questions during this time.

  • Last 30–40 Minutes: Smart Completion & OMR Check

The last 30 minute is very important. Start checking if you have marked questions you have attempted. Make sure that you do a recheck of your OMR bubble. Since your AIBE OMR Sheet will be checked by a computer. If you have not filled it properly, your answer will not be considered. During your preparation, ensure you practice how to fill out the AIBE OMR Sheet

Now that you have thoroughly checked your OMR sheet, start attempting the remaining doubtful questions. Since there is no negative marking, do not leave any question unanswered.
