The Bar Council of India (BCI) has announced that it will conduct the All India Bar Examination twice a year. The AIBE Notification 2026 mentioned that the AIBE 21 Exam 2026 will be conducted on June 7, 2026. Candidates now have a choice to either appear in the exam held in June or later in the year. The AIBE Exam 2026 will be held in pen-and-paper mode. Candidates appearing for the AIBE 21 (XXI) Exam 2026 must start preparing as not much time is left.

Without a proper plan and strategy, it is very difficult to clear All India Bar Exam. To help you with the same, we have listed outa  week-wise one-month revision plan below

Week 1: Full Syllabus Revision + Strong Foundation

The first week is meant for revising all major subjects quickly and identifying weak areas. Revise core concepts from major subjects, solve at least 30-50 multiple choice questions daily. Candidates must index the Bare Act for important law. Start making short notes for quick revision on exam day. Focus on the high-scoring and frequently asked subjects like:

Week 2: Subject-Wise Practice + MCQ Based Revision

During this week, candidates must focus on strengthening accuracy through practice. Start going through your subject-wise notes. Increase the number of MCQs to 50-70.Try to increase the number of MCQs you are solving per day. Focus on tricky topics like exceptions, limitations, and procedures. Revise bare act important sections. Candidates must put their focus on

Week 3: Mock Tests + Weak Area Improvement

Week 3 is your testing phase. Now your focus should shift towards mock tests and speed improvement. Make sure you attempt 3–4 full mock tests. Analyse every mock test you attempt. Ensure that you revise weak subjects after every test. After every mock:

  • Check which subject is consuming most time
  • Identify repeated mistakes
  • Note down important sections asked in mocks
  • Add bookmarks in Bare Acts

Week 4: Final Revision + Exam Simulation

The last week should be dedicated to revision only. Avoid learning anything new. Revise short notes daily. If you wish you can solve AIBE Question Papers just for practice. Do not get disheartened if you do not score well. Attempt 2 full-length mocks but keep track of your time.

Yes, final year law students can apply for the AIBE Exam. As per the revised AIBE Eligibility criteria, candidates who are in the final year of 3-year or 5-year LLB courses without any backlog can apply.

The AIBE 21 (XXI) eligibility criteria remained the same. Here are the AIBE exam eligibility criteria in the table below:

Qualifying exam

Candidates who have passed or are in final year of a three-year LLB or five-year LLB degree are eligible to appear for the AIBE exam. Therefore, the academic qualifying exam for AIBE candidates is 

  1. 3-year LLB degree,  OR
  2. 5-year integrated LLB degree

Minimum marks in qualifying exam

The BCI mentions no minimum marks are required for appearing in the AIBE exam. However,  a candidate must secure a minimum percentage or grades in their law degree as prescribed by universities for further education. 

Age limit for AIBE exam

There is no upper or lower age limit for appearing in the All India Bar Examination. 

State Bar Council Registration/Enrollment 

A candidate who has not registered with their State Bar Councils as an Advocate can apply. As State Bar Council enrollment is no more mandatory for AIBE eligibility.
