The second AILET 2026 merit lists for BA LLB (Hons.), BCom LLB (Hons.) and LLM will be released at nationallawuniversitydelhilaw.in. After the second merit list is out, qualified candidates will have to pay the admission fee and secure their seat in the course for which they apply. AILET 2026 Second Merit List
The National Law University, Delhi (NLU Delhi) will release the AILET result on the website of the National Law University, nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. After the release of results and the AILET first merit list 2026, NLU Delhi will publish the second provisional merit list for BA LLB (Hons.), BCom LLB (Hons.) and LLM. The merit lists for these courses will be released in the second week of January 2026.

If your name is not mentioned on the first merit list, you will have to check the second merit list for the exam. After the release of the second merit list, the eligible candidates can pay the admission fee and secure their seat at NLU Delhi in the course they applied for.
No, candidates were not allowed to appear for the examination without a valid photo ID. Candidates were advised to keep the following three things ready with them, a day before the examination; a valid photo ID proof, AILET admit card 2026, and a recent passport-sized photograph. These were the mandatory documents to be produced during entry to the AILET exam centre. The valid photo identity card which would be allowed at the AILET 2026 exam centre include Aadhaar card/ Driving Licence/ PAN Card/ Passport/ Voter Id. The admit card should also have the passport and postcard-sized photographs pasted on it.
Candidates can submit maximum 3 preferences for AILET centre. Choosing preference for exam centre is mandatory to submit AILET application. Candidates will get to know about allotment of exact centre once the admit card is released. The NLU Delhi releases admit card online comprising crucial details about exam including name and address of AILET centre. The admit card can be downloaded from the official website after its release. To download AILET admit card, candidates need application ID, password, and Exam Unique Code (EUC).

The second merit list for each course will be released according to the counselling schedule. Candidates can access the merit lists on the NLU Delhi website, which will include details such as their ranks, marks obtained, and program options based on their category and merit position.

What After AILET 2026 Second Merit List?
The AILET merit list will be released on January 8, 2026. NLU Delhi releases the merit list as per the seats and vacancies. The merit list notification can be checked at the NLU Delhi official website. Check AILET merit list schedule here.

NLU Delhi provides admission to its BA LLB and LLM programme based on the AILET 2026 scores. However, all other NLUs in the country accept CLAT scores for providing admission to their courses. Candidates can sit for both the entrance exams to expand their scope of admission.
Candidates will be able to contact the AILET exam authority through the phone. The contact number is 011-40787555. There is no official email to connect with the exam authority on the AILET exam website. Thus, candidates need to use this phone number only for the exam-related queries.
If you find your name on the second merit list of AILET 2026, you are now eligible for the next round of counseling and seat allotment. Follow the instructions provided by NLU Delhi carefully, which typically involve document verification, fee payment, and confirming your chosen program.
