Low Score in MHCET LAW 2026
MHCET LAW Admission 2026: Candidates who scored lower than expected in MHCET LLB 2026 exam should not lose hope. A low MHCET Law score does not mean the end of admission opportunities. Every year, several government-aided, private and regional law colleges in Maharashtra admit candidates with comparatively lower percentiles during later rounds of MH CET LLB Centralised Admission Process (CAP).
It must be noted that final admission through MHCET LAW depends on category, seat availability, reservation policy, candidate preferences and number of CAP rounds held. Candidates with non-zero scores are eligible to participate in MHCET Law counselling. They are advised to carefully fill in their college preferences.

The MH CET Law merit list is a list of candidates who have been shortlisted for counseling based on their rank in the MH CET Law entrance exam. The merit list is prepared separately for MS (Maharashtra State), OMS (Other State / Outside Maharashtra State) candidates, Jammu & Kashmir Candidates and INR, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS) or All India category candidature type, Foreign Nationals, Non Resident Indians (NRI) / Overseas Indian Citizen (OIC) / Person of Indian Origin (PIO) candidates. Candidates cannot raise objections against the merit list.
The MH CET Law merit list is released by the State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell), Maharashtra. Candidates can check their MH CET Law merit list on the official website of the CET Cell, Maharashtra.
The Maharashtra CET examination cell conducts the MHCET Law exam for admission to the LLB programs offered at the colleges in Maharashtra.
MHCET Law exam is held for admissions to 5-year and 3-year Law courses offered at participating Law colleges in Maharashtra. The exam is conducted in an online mode. Through the entrance exam, Law aspirants are shortlisted for admissions to 10,860 seats (excluding management intake) for the 5-year LLB program and around 16,420 seats for the 3-year LLB courses programmes.

Can Candidates Get Admission with MHCET Law 2026 Low Score?
Yes, but Government Law College (GLC) Mumbai and ILS Law College Pune usually close admissions at very high percentiles, many reputed colleges admit students with moderate or low scores during subsequent MHCET Law CAP rounds. Those belonging to reserved categories often have better admission opportunities due to category-wise seat allocation.

The MH CET Law 2026 Alphabetical List is a important list released by the Maharashtra CET Cell after the exam It shows all eligible candidates sorted by their names, detailing scores for allotment into 3-year & 5-year LLB programs in Maharashtra colleges, accessible via the official CET portal.
The following documents and things have to be carried to MH CET Law Exam Centre
- MHCET Law 2026 Admit Card: A clear printout of admit card is mandatory.
- Valid Photo ID (Original): An original, government-issued photo identification proof out of Aadhaar Card/ Passport/ PAN Card/ Voter ID/ Driving License shall be carried to exam centre.
- Passport-size Photographs: Carry at least one or two recent passport-size photographs.
- Transparent Water Bottle: Students may carry their own water, but is should be transparent without any labels.
- Disability Certificate (if applicable): Candidates under the Persons with Disability (PwD) category have to carry their original disability certificate to the test centre.
