The Consortium will publish the CLAT 2026 Question Paper and CLAT Answer Key together. CLAT Exam is scheduled to be held on December 7, 2025. Once the exam is over, the Consortium will publish the CLAT Provisional Answer Key within 24 hours. The CLAT 2026 OMR Sheet will be released along with it. 

Candidates who are looking forward to appear in CLAT Exam must solve CLAT Free Mock Test released by shiksha. It is very important to attempt mock tests as it helps you to understand the difficulty level along with your weak subjects. The CLAT Question Paper will be released online on the official website ony. The CLAT UG Question Paper will have 120 mutliple-choice questions. For CLAT PG, the number of questions asked is same. The consortium revised the CLAT Exam pattern in 2024. Check major CLAT pattern highlights for both UG and PG courses below:

With passage-based questions asked in the CLAT question paper, it is important to adopt the right technique to score well. Here are some quick tips on how to attempt CLAT questions in each section of the exam.

Tips to Attempt Questions in CLAT English Language Section

  • Try to read a passage within five to seven minutes
  • Try to identify the main point being made in the passage
  • Try to extract information in the form of Who, What, Why, When and Where from the passage
  • Pay close attention to the wording used in the passage
  • Ensure that you read all four options before answering a given question

Tips to Attempt Questions in CLAT Current Affairs & GK Section

  • Make sure to read the entire passage before attempting the questions so that you can pick up valuable clues about the answers 
  • Try to understand the overall theme of the passage
  • Make sure to read all the options of the given question before selecting one

Tips to Attempt Questions in CLAT Legal Reasoning Section

  • Carefully read the passage and try to identify the principles 
  • Read each legal reasoning question given in the passage carefully and try to identify facts
  • Try to break down the principle into smaller parts for better understanding of the passage
  • Do not apply any pre-existing knowledge of laws while attempting the questions

  • Carefully read the passage and try to identify the premises and conclusions 
  • Once the premises and conclusions are identified, try to see if an overall theme or point is being made in the passage
  • Read each question and the given options carefully before attempting it

  • Analyse the given graphical information carefully before attempting a question
  • Keep your rough notes and calculations neet and handy so that you can refer them quickly when needed

Similar to sample and question papers, CLAT mock test also forms an important aspect of CLAT 2026 preparation. You should practice at least one mock test for CLAT 2026 every day to strengthen your exam preparation. Some of the points that you need to keep in mind while attempting CLAT mock tests include:

  • Practice CLAT mock test in not more than two hours
  • Once you have attempted the mock exam, analyse it carefully and note down your strong and weak areas

How to Download CLAT Question Papers from Official Website?

Candidates can also request for CLAT previous year question papers at the time of filling the CLAT application form by paying an additional fee of INR 500. The CLAT Consortium will provide the question papers to candidates in their application login. Candidates can download the CLAT question papers for previous years from the official website by following the steps mentioned below:

Step 3: Enter mobile number and password

You don't have to worry. In case you have forgotten your ID and password, which is pretty much normal. You can go and click on the forgot password tab in the registration window. You will receive the mail and then you have to reset your password. Once day you will be able to login.

Yes, the application form for CLAT was released long back in August. Those who have not filled the form yet must understand that there is no right day to fill the form. You should fill is as soon as possible. Because if you miss it you have to wait one more year unnecessarily to appear in the exam.

The last date to submit the application form is October 31, 2025. It must be noted that the consortium will open the application correction window after that. Sometimes the consortium do extend the last date for registration but it is better to fill the form way before and why to wait.
