CMAT 2023 exam was held today at various examination centres in 124 cities across India. The examination timings were 9 am to 12 pm and 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Shiksha visited a CMAT test centre for CMAT 2023 students’ reactions and reviews. According to the students we spoke to, the CMAT question paper was of easy to moderate difficulty level and could be completed in three hours. Most of the students found LR and English easy. General Awareness and Maths were difficult. Innovation and Entrepreneurship section was easy. Maximum questions were from Algebra. In Logical Reasoning, maximum questions were from Sitting Arrangement. Overall, the CMAT 2023 was easier than other MBA entrance exams like CAT.

The CMAT 2023 exam was good. According to me, the exam was easy because English and Reasoning sections were easy. I found Maths section bit tough because I was not well prepared for that. There was plenty of time to complete the paper.

Latest CMAT exam pattern is given below:
- Question paper carries 100 MCQs
- Each section has 20 question
- Exam duration is 180 minutes
- Each question carries 4 marks
- There is no negative marking
CMAT has five sections.
Given below is the sectional break up of CMAT exam:
- Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation: 20 questions of 4 marks each
- Logical Reasoning: 20 questions of 4 marks each
- Language Comprehension: 20 questions of 4 marks each
- General Awareness: 20 questions of 4 marks each
- Innovation & Entrepreneurship: 20 questions of 4 marks each.
Sectional weightage of CMAT is same. Since the Language Comprehension section of CMAT includes reading comprehension passages, it can be considered a lengthy section. However, any other section can also be lengthier due to nature of the questions.

The exam went pretty well, but there were some difficult questions and on top of it, there’s negative marking. I found Logical Reasoning questions difficult. I have appeared for MAT exam too, compared to that CMAT was easier.

Yes, there is a negative marking in CMAT exam. For each wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted. However, no marks will be deducted for unanswered questions.

CMAT response sheet and provisional answer key are same. Since the answer key contains candidate's responses too, it is also called CMAT response sheet.

Candidates can use the CMAT answer key to calculate the score in the following manner:
· Check number of correct attempts
· Check number of incorrect attempts
· Add 4 marks for every correct attempt
· Subtract 1 mark for every incorrect attempt
· Sub total will be CMAT score

Filing objection against the CMAT answer key is not mandatory for all candidates. Only those candidate who feel a question/s is incorrect and they have proof to support the claim, should raise objection.

The CMAT answer key objection fee per question is INR 200. Candidates have to pay it at the time of filling the objection form.
