If you appeared for CMAT 2026 and wish to pursue MBA from a top ranked college but don't want to appear for the GD/PI round, read this article.
MBA admission is India is majorly based on Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). All the top B-Schools in India conduct GD-PI round for selecting candidates. Mere entrance exam score does not suffice. However, many of the state level colleges and institutions do not conduct GD-PI round. Admission to those are based on state level entrance exam score and centralized counselling, in which seats are allotted to candidates basis exam score and choice filling.
CMAT being a national level entrance exam conducted by the NTA is accepted by all AICTE approved institutions, which include national and state level private, government and government aided MBA colleges. Some of the most popular colleges for CMAT without GD-PI include Maharashtra state institutions, for which seat allotment is done through MBA CET CAP.
MBA CET CAP is a centralized admission process for MBA admission in Maharashtra though state level entrance exam. Candidates with CMAT 2026 score can participate in the MBA CAP round in the All India category.
