BET 2025 registration window is now LIVE. BET is a national entrance examination for the DBT-Junior Research Fellowship (DBT-JRF) award for pursuing research in the biotechnology field. The BET 2025 exam dates have been announced. Candidates who want to apply must submit their application form by March 28, 2025 (up to 5:00 pm) and the application fee by 11:50 pm. The application form is online and must be submitted with the correct personal and educational qualifications information.

BET 2025 Application Form: Steps to apply, fees, and more
The BET application form is available online at nta.ac.in and dbtbet2025.ntaonline.in. Candidates who meet the eligibility conditions can fill out and submit the application form before the due date. The steps for BET 2025 registration include candidate registration, filling in information, uploading documents, fee payment and form submission. The BET 2025 application fee for GEN/OBC-NCL-EWS is INR 1300, and for the SC/ST/PwD, it is INR 650/-.
BET 2025 Exam Pattern, Date and Timing
The Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET) will be held in one session on May 13, 2025 (10:00 am to 1:00 pm). The exam duration is three hours. The BET will be conducted online, and the medium of the question paper is English. The BET 2025 question paper is divided into two sections -
- Section “A” comprises 50 MCQs of 10+2 level in subjects - General Science, Mathematics, Chemistry, General Aptitude, Quantitative Ability and General Biotechnology. Each question carries one mark with negative marking of -1 for incorrect response.
- Section “B” will comprise 150 questions (MCQs) in specific areas of Biotechnology, where the candidate has to attempt at least 50 questions. Each question carries three marks, with a negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect answer.
Candidates willing to apply must go through the BET 2025 eligibility criteria carefully. The last date to submit the BET 2025 application form is March 28, 2025 (11:50 pm).
NTA has released the GAT B/BET exam pattern 2025 in the official notification. As per the paper scheme, GAT B exam section A will have 60 questions while section B will have 100 questions. All the questions asked in GAT B section will be compulsory while candidates need to attempt only 60 questions out of 100 in GAT B section B. In the case of BET 2025 paper, section A will have 50 questions while section B comprises 150 questions. Applicants need to attempt all questions in BET section A while only
National Testing Agency will issue the GAT B 2025 exam pattern on the official notification. The exam authority will conduct the GAT B 2025 exam in online computer-based mode. GAT B will be conducted for a duration of 3 hours. There will be two sections in both GAT B and BET exam. The language of exam will be English only. Applicants will not be allowed to change paper language of GAT B exam. Candidates are advised to go through the GAT B exam pattern 2025 for their preparations.

For GAT B exam section A applicants will get one mark for correct answer while 0.5 mark will be deducted for wrong answer. For GAT B section A three marks will be awarded for correct answer and one mark will be deducted for wrong answer.
