🔥NEW in MHT CET: DigliLocker Linking Mandatory for CET Registrations
Candidates who want to register for MHT CET 2026, must keep in mind that this year onwards, linking the Digilocker with the CET portal is mandatory. Below, we have described the steps for the same:
To link DigiLocker with the MHT CET registration process, candidates have to follow the steps below:
- Register with name, email ID and create a password at cetcell.mahacet.org.
- Next, verify the email ID with the link sent to your inbox.
- Once verification is done, candidates are redirected to the MHT CET registration screen.
- Click on "Proceed to DigiLocker".
- Thereafter, add your Aadhaar number and verify OTP sent.
- Then verify with 6-digit pin.
- After this, the DigiLocker will open.
- If the Digilocker has your APAAR ID and Aadhaar Card, select them and click on "verify". If the APAAR ID and Aadhaar Card are not available in the Digiclocker, first add them and then proceed with verification.
- This connects DigilLocker to the MHT CET registration portal.

Class 10 pass certificate or marksheet:
- This will be needed to fill the date of birth in the MHT CET application form. Candidates have to fill in the date of birth mentioned on the Class 10 marksheet or certificate in the MHT CET application form.
- This document is also needed to fill in the name of the school board from which the candidate has passed the Class 10 board exam and the year of passing.
- Also, candidates will need this document to fill the class 10 percentage and the SSC school state.
Class 12 pass certificate or marksheet:
- This is needed to fill class 12 board name.
- Also, this document is needed to fill in the name of the school board from which the candidate has passed the Class 12 board exam and the year of passing.
- Also, candidates will need this document to fill the class 12 percentage and the HSC school state.
Note that the candidates who will be appearing for the Class 12 boards exam 2026 have to mark “yes” for the field that asks “Are you appearing for Class boards in 2026?” Such candidates do not need to fill in the Class 12 details in the form. But the same will be needed at the time of MHT CET counselling 2026 and admission to colleges.
Aadhaar card or any other government issued photo ID proof:
- Candidates have to provide the details of any one of the photo Id proofs for verification.
Credit card/Debit card/Internet banking/UPI ID:
- Keep the mode of payment ready. The mode of payment of MHT CET application fee can be any one among Credit card/Debit card/Internet banking/UPI ID.

The CET Cell has re-opened the MHT CET registration on March 19 and will be available till March 20, 2026. Earlier, the MHT CET 2026 registration concluded for both PCM and PCB groups on February 24. The MHT CET 2026 registration last date with a late fee of Rs 500 was February 27.
Candidates can get an APAAR ID for MHT CET registration by registering on the DigiLocker website. If you are studying in school, you can ask for your APAAR enrollment number from your school itself.

MHT CET 2026 Photo Specification: Do’s and Don’ts for a Proper Photograph to Avoid Rejection
To avoid rejection of the MHT CET form, the candidates must properly upload their photo. Note that the CET cell will provide one opportunity to the registered candidates to correct errors in their uploaded photo during the MHT CET form correction window 2026.
The perfect way to capture, scan and upload an image in the MHT CET 2026 application form is as follows:
- The photo should capture the full face of the candidate, have a front view, and both eyes should be open.
- The head should be in the centre of the frame.
- There should be no distracting shadows on the face or background.
- Make sure the photo presents a full head from the top of the hair to the bottom of the chin as shown above.
- The light should be even and balanced to avoid shadows on the face.
- The background behind the face should be properly illuminated to avoid shadows in the background.
- Head should face the camera directly and should not tilt or turn (portrait style).

If you wear eyeglasses, then make sure that:
- The eyes must be open, level and clearly visible and must not be covered by hair or eyeglass frames.

- Sign on plain white paper with a black or blue pen.
- Signature must be clear, without smudges, and done by candidates only.

No physical submission is needed: It is important to note that candidates do not need to submit any documents physically to the Maharashtra CET cell. All documents have to be submitted online only.
