APAAR ID for MHT CET Registrations 2026: This year, the State CET Cell has mandated the use of APAAR ID and Aadhaar card for MHT CET registration 2026. APAAR ID is a 12-digit unique number that is available for all students of India. APAAR stands for Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry. The APAAR ID has been introduced in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) of 2020 and the National Credit and Qualifications Framework (NCrF).
The purpose of the APAAR ID is to streamline and enhance the academic experience for students. All the academic records of the students are mapped to this APAAR ID.
For MHT CET registration, candidates will be required to have an APAAR ID, which they can generate for themselves or can ask their respective school authorities to generate it on their behalf.

MHT CET Application Form 2026: How to Generate APAAR ID?
All students who want to register for MHT CET 2026 and are currently in class 12 have to follow the steps below to generate their APAAR ID:
Step 1: Ask the school authorities for the provisional APAAR number.
Step 2: Login to the registration page of Digilocker to verify your provisional APAAR. (Download how to create a DogiLocker account )
Step 3: In the case of all minors (school students below 18 years of age), parental consent is required. Parents have to provide their Aadhaar details for verification and open a Digilocker with their Aadhaar ID or registered Mobile number.
Step 4: Post authentication, the APAAR ID Card is generated. Now you can download the APAAR ID Card.
APAAR ID generation for candidates who have completed their schooling:
Step 1: Login to the registration page of Digilocker.
Step 2: Open your Digilocker with your Aadhaar ID or registered mobile number.
Step 3: After authentication registration form will appear.
Step 4: Fill in your university details and academic details as per the form requirements.
Step 5: Click and generate your APAAR ID Card. Now you can download the APAAR ID Card.

Taking help of coaching is not necessarily required for clearing the MHT CET exam. Many students score good marks in MHT CET by self-studying, without help from coaching. To crack MHT CET without coaching, students need to make a study plan considering the time they have before exam.
Students can take help of online tutorials and videos from previous year toppers who have cleared the exam without coaching to understand their strategy. One thing that is required when students are not taking coaching is regular study.
Make a daily time table of study and devote at least 5-6 hours for MHT CET preparation. Students who are in class 11 or 12 can give 3-4 hours specifically for CET beside school studies. Students who have passed class 12 should also study at least 6 hours daily.
Candidates must start the MHT CET preparation from their class 11 and 12 school textbooks. Maharashtra CET Cell has released the MHT CET Admit card online on the official website cetcell.mahacet.org. Candidates have to log in to the website using their registered email ID and password to download their MHT CET hall ticket. The details of MHT CET exam date & time, address of the exam centre and exam day instructions are mentioned in the admit card. Candidates have to download their admit card and take its printout to carry it to the exam cente.
Candidates must carry the print-copy of their MHT CET admit card downloaded from the website. Candidates carrying admit card in their mobile phone will not be allowed to appear in the exam.
