MHT CET 2026 Institute Level Admission: What is it?
Institute-level admission refers to the process through which eligible candidates can be considered for seats available at the institute level, including seats that remain vacant after the MHT CAP process, subject to the rules prescribed by the Maharashtra State CET Cell.
The MHT CET 2026 information brochure defines the institutional quota as seats available for admission to eligible candidates at the institute level as declared by the government or appropriate authority.
This process is different from the regular MHT CET CAP seat allotment. Instead of waiting for another CAP allotment, candidates participating in institute-level admissions must follow the admission procedure announced by the concerned college.

With 97.5 percentile in MHT-CET, you have a strong chance to get admission in reputed colleges like PICT Pune, VIT Pune, SPIT Mumbai, or Thakur College of Engineering for branches such as IT, ECE, or Electrical. COEP and VJTI may be difficult for CSE. Government colleges like WCE Sangli, SGGS Nanded, and GCOE Amravati are also good options. You can get preferred branches in private colleges and core branches in government ones. Your chances further improve if you belong to a reserved category or have home university advantage within Maharashtra.
For the General HS category, the cutoff ranged from 4.33 to 20.54 percentile for M.Tech course specialisations. Therefore, students need to attain at least 4.33 percentile for admissions at COEP Pune. MHT CET M.Tech percentiles are required for admission to M.Tech courses at COEP, Pune.

With 63.57% in MHT CET, you do have a fair chance to get B.Tech in Fashion Technology at D.K.T.E. Institute, especially if you're in a reserved category or from the home state. Fill it in your CAP options and keep backup colleges too, just in case the cutoffs go higher this year
