Maharashtra state CET cell has released the MHT CET application form 2026 for the 2nd attempt at cetcell.mahacet.org. MHT CET application process is ongoing, and last date to apply is April 16. To fill application form, candidates have to complete three major stages: registering in CET portal, applying for MHT CET exam and paying fee.

How to Fill MHT CET Application Form 2026: Maharashtra state CET cell has released the MHT CET 2026 application form for the second attempt exam. The application form is available online on the official website cetcell.mahacet.org. To fill application form, candidates have to complete three major stages: registering in CET portal, applying for MHT CET exam and paying MHT CET application fee.

How to Fill MHT CET 2026 Application Form

To fill MHT CET form, candidates must be ready with important details like personal details, educational details, and communication details etc. Check detailed process below to apply for MHT CET 2026:

Step 1: Registration at CET portal

  • Candidates have to first create an account at CET portal. To do so, visit official website - cetcell.mahacet.org.
  • Next, enter details asked like your name, email ID, mobile number and date of birth.
  • Thereafter, create a password and click on ‘Register’ button to complete registration process.
  • This creates your MHT CET login.

Email verification

  • After registration details are submitted,  a verification link is sent to email IDs of candidates.
  • Candidates have to open their registered email and click on verification link sent to them.
  • Only after verification, registration gets completed.

DigiLocker Link

  1. Once verification is done, candidates are redirected to the MHT CET registration screen.
  2. Click on "Proceed to DigiLocker". 
  3. Thereafter, add your Aadhaar number and verify OTP sent.
  4. Then verify with 6-digit pin.
  5. After this, DigiLocker will open.
  6. If Digilocker has your APAAR ID and Aadhaar Card, select them and click on "verify". If APAAR ID and Aadhaar Card are not available in Digiclocker, first add them and then proceed with verification.
  7. This connects DigilLocker to MHT CET registration portal.

Step 2: Fill MHT CET form and pay fee

  • To fill MHT CET form, candidates have to first select CET they want to apply for.
  • Then, select preferred exam city, qualification and category details.
  • Next, candidates have to pay applicable application fee.
  • After application fee is paid, candidates have to take a printout of filled and submitted form. Keep this document safe for all future reference.

Q:   How can I prepare for MHT CET without coaching?
A: 

Taking help of coaching is not necessarily required for clearing the MHT CET exam. Many students score good marks in MHT CET by self-studying, without help from coaching. To crack MHT CET without coaching, students need to make a study plan considering the time they have before exam.

Students can take help of online tutorials and videos from previous year toppers who have cleared the exam without coaching to understand their strategy. One thing that is required when students are not taking coaching is regular study.

Make a daily time table of study and devote at least 5-6 hours for MHT CET preparation. Students who are in class 11 or 12 can give 3-4 hours specifically for CET beside school studies. Students who have passed class 12 should also study at least 6 hours daily.

Yes, the MHT CET 2026 exam is MCQ type for both the PCM and PCB groups. For each question, students will be given 4 alternatives and candidates have to mark the correct answer.

Important Details to Remember while Filling MHT CET Application Form

  • Device Recommendation: Do not use a mobile phone to fill the form; use a laptop or desktop to avoid formatting and upload errors.
  • Non-Editable Fields: Once submitted, you cannot change your Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, or Email ID, even during the correction window.
  • Group Selection: Clearly specify if you are appearing for PCM (Engineering), PCB (Pharmacy), or both. Scores for Physics and Chemistry cannot be interchanged between groups.
  • Exam Centres: You must select four preferred cities. Once allotted, they cannot be changed.

Starting the MHT CET preparation from class 11 or 12 is the best time as MHT CET syllabus consists of topics from class 11 and 12 and students can easily cover all the topics along with school. Students can begin by checking the topics that is covered in both school and MHT CET and give special attention to them. For all three subjects, study NCERT and also take help from reference books. Understand the concepts thoroughly and solve numerical problems. To crack MHT CET along with class 12, students should devote at least 2-3 hours for CET beside class 12 studies. What After MHT CET Form Fill Up?
