I felt absolutely good about joining this college because of its good infrastructure and placements.
Placements: Now I am a fresher here. If we look at the placements at NIT Trichy, they are amazing. To be honest, I am from the Civil Engineering branch, so we cannot expect high packages, but our seniors get into many PSUs. The alumni here help the most with placements. Last year, nearly 78% of students were placed in my course. The highest package is 34 LPA and 20 LPA for core jobs.
Infrastructure: Facilities on campus are good. We can find everything in the campus supermarket (2k). If we talk about the hostels, as you know, NIT Trichy is an old college, so it has very old hostels, but the good thing is that they have been renovated this year. Wi-Fi is very good. For the first few years, they accommodated us in the Kailesh mess. The food here is not very good, but in the second year, we can choose any mess we want, and those are very good.
Faculty: Faculty here is outstanding. Everyone has in-depth knowledge. They have completed their PhDs or Master's from top institutes in India. They are very helpful and provide a faculty mentor, which is the best thing I have ever experienced. If we talk about the semester exams, the grading is relatively strict, so professors give moderately difficult papers.
Other: I chose this course because it is the branch I got into at NIT Trichy. The best thing about this course is that there is more scope for it in the future. It is one of the oldest courses in NIT Trichy. If we talk about the events, they are amazing. After working hard for JEE, the events here are worth it. It is an 800-acre campus, and there are around 6000–7000 students in NIT Trichy. The connectivity includes various clubs and communities, which provide good interactions.

The institute offers strong academics and campus life, with scope for better industry exposure.
Placements: CSE / IT placements are around 95–100%, while the overall placement percentage at NIT Trichy is above 90%. The highest package offered is 45–55 LPA from international and top product companies, the average package is 25–30 LPA, and the lowest package is 6–8 LPA. Top recruiters include Google, Microsoft, and Amazon, and the major roles offered are Software Development Engineer (SDE), Backend / Full-Stack Developer, Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, and AI Engineer.
Infrastructure: The campus provides 24×7 high-speed Wi-Fi across academic blocks and hostels. Laboratories consist of computer labs with high-performance systems. Classrooms are spacious and well-ventilated. They are equipped with smart boards, projectors, and audio systems.
Faculty: Most faculty members are highly qualified, many with PhDs from IITs, IISc, and foreign universities. Professors are strong in core fundamentals and research. The curriculum is updated regularly as per AICTE guidelines and industry trends. Strong fundamentals help crack top tech interviews. Labs and projects build problem-solving skills. The difficulty level is moderate to slightly difficult.
Other: I chose Civil Engineering because it is a core engineering branch. It plays a vital role in nation-building and infrastructure development. The course allows me to understand how real-world structures like buildings, bridges, roads, and dams are designed and constructed. Studying Civil Engineering at NIT Trichy, which has a strong reputation, experienced faculty, and excellent labs, gives both theoretical strength and practical exposure. Excellent faculty, strong fundamentals, and well-equipped labs.

Campus life and experience in NIT Trichy.
Placements: Actually, I am a fresher who joined NIT Trichy in 2025 in the civil engineering course. I hear that many of my seniors are placed with good packages. However, many of them go for higher studies like M.Tech through GATE in civil engineering and the research side. Overall, the placement cell is good.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good. Classes for all department students occur in academic blocks like Orion and Logos, but we suffer in summer due to the high temperature of Trichy. The hostel facilities are also quite good. Every room has Wi-Fi. This year, they also introduced washing machines, which are on a pay-and-use system. I give 3/5 for the food because the taste does not seem good, and the varieties are also repeated. You can find many canteens, and you can also find Domino’s and CCD. The medical facilities are extremely good.
Faculty: Professors here are highly qualified and knowledgeable. There is no need to worry about academics on this campus. NIT Trichy offers a flexible curriculum. This allows students to get exposure to different kinds and types of fields. The difficulty level of the exam depends on the professor, but the paper is moderate and not that difficult. People here study just one night before the exam and score very good grades. The pass percentage depends on the performance of students in the class.
Other: The fests at NIT Trichy are incredible. These fests not only provide entertainment but also make us show interest in many academic and non-academic aspects. It makes our college life fulfilling. You can not only gain entertainment but also communication skills through PIs at the fest.

Really good infrastructure but disappointing in some aspects.
Placements: Almost 80 percent of students are placed in our branch. All branches also have good placements. Companies like Nvidia and Qualcomm will come in placement for ECE branch. Placement package will depend on the students, I think. The highest package is around 64 LPA which is taken by Qualcomm.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is nice. Hostels are not that much good as their NIRF is 9 but not too bad, it's okay to have such a hostel. College infrastructure is very nice. Library is also good. Food is not good in the first year but for North and South people they have different messes in college.
Faculty: Semester exams are not that much difficult but the subject is excellent. Here in first year, they will teach you the basics of all branches to everyone. It doesn't cause stress for the students. The total semester marks are divided into parts. So you don't need to take that much stress.
Other: Campus life is too good because it's a very good campus. Fests are held every month, and we can enjoy a lot. We can explore so much on campus with friends.

I am absolutely satisfied with the course.
Placements: About 90 percent of students get placed. The highest package offered is 36 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 6 LPA. The average package offered is 12 LPA. BPCL, Meesho, and ICICI Bank are top recruiting companies. The percentage of students who got internships from our course is 15 percent in companies like Pernod Record, Abinbev, Reliance, Jindal Steel Limited, and P&G. Roles offered are graduate engineer trainee, SDE, management trainee, and process engineer.
Infrastructure: Almost everything is right in its place. Wi-Fi is available in the hostel rooms with routers in each room. Labs are there in every department, and classrooms will be happening in Orion. The library is present with well-structured and department-wise sections. Every day, the hostel is cleaned by workers and is maintained very hygienically. For food, we have Annapurna mess, Mega mess, and Sabari mess. The quality of food varies from mess to mess, and overall quality is good.
Faculty: Teachers are professional and highly skilled. I would rate them 4.8 out of 5. The course curriculum is perfectly relevant to the domain. I would say they are on a medium level. The pass percentage is around 35 percent out of 100 percent. Overall, the course structure offers freedom to delve into extracurricular activities.

It is a very good college for this course.
Placements: The students start sitting for placement from the 6th semester, i.e., the end of the third year itself, while many students start getting job offers at the start of the 7th semester itself. The placement percentage here is very good, it is around 90% and the average placement for the 2025 placement session is around 15.76 LPA or maybe higher, since results are not made available to us yet. The highest offer is around 55 lakh+, according to some fourth-year students. The number of companies visiting us is many. They include tech giants such as Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Sony, Samsung, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided in the room include a table, chair, almirah and a bed. The mess food is okay, not so good, but one will get used to it. If we talk about the books and journals available in the library, they are easily accessible to all the students and professors. The classrooms have high-quality projectors and speakers, and teachers use a microphone to deliver their lectures. There are a lot of sports available on campus, and everyone can play any sport they want to play.
Faculty: The faculty members of this college are like those of all the colleges, some of them are very good, but some of them are here just to read the PPT and time pass. About the exams, there are 3 exams conducted in the entire semester, the first one is this CT1, then CT2, and then end sem exams. CT1 and CT2 are easy, which anyone can score well just by studying 1 or 2 days before the exam, but for end sem exams, one needs to start studying almost 10-15 days earlier because they consist of the entire syllabus.
