ISI Admission Test 2026 notification will be announced soon. The ISI 2026 registration process is expected to begin in the second week of February 2026. Last date for the ISI 2026 admission test application form will be March 2026, tentatively. Then after filling out all important details in the form students need to pay their ISI 2026 application fee by last week of March 2026. It is important for the aspirants to check the ISI admission test Exam Pattern before starting their preparation.

Students shall download their ISI admission test admit card in the mid april 2026, tentatively. The ISI admission test 2026 is likely to be conducted in May 2026 at various ISI exam centres across the nationThe main institute with campuses in Kolkata, Delhi, and Bengaluru offers renowned undergraduate and postgraduate courses including B.Stat, B.Math, M.Stat, M.Math, MSQE, M.Tech, and various postgraduate diplomas.

How to apply for ISI Admission Test 2026

Students can follow this process on how to apply for the ISI admission test 2026:

  • Visit website of the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI)- https://admission.isical.ac.in/. Once you have landed on homepage of website click on 'ISI Admissions'.
  • Once the Students have clicked on the admissions page students will be directed to a new tab. 
  • Click on 'Apply Now' which will be written on ISI page. 
  • Register and fill details as required.

  • Fill and submit ISI 2026 application form. Students will have to fill in their personal and academic details.

  • Once details are filled in correctly, Students will have to upload their images. 
  • Pay the ISI application 2026 fee

  • Once all formalities have been completed the student will have an application number that will be generated. It will be used to download ISI 2026 admit card and check ISI admission test 2026 results.

Q:   How do I fill ISI Admission Test 2026 application form?
A: 

The applicant must initially register at the ISI Application Portal. An account will be created for the applicant in the portal, through which she/he can conveniently ll up the application form and also make payment of the application fee after submission of the form. After completion of application, the applicant will be able to pay the application fee through the payment gateway. Payment can be made in the online mode (See application portal for details).

Once the candidate has registered in the Application Portal, veri ed the e-mail address, lled up Category information and chosen an Academic Programme, the portal will show only the relevant Admission Channels to the candidate.

Q:   What is the permanent resident/domicile reservation criteria for ISI Admission Test?
A: 

Validity of EWS and OBC-NCL Certificate, Permanent Resident/ Domicile certificate and PwD certificate:

  • Category certificates (EWS and OBC-NCL), Permanent Resident/ Domicile Certificate for domiciles of North-East states of India and PwD Certificate must be valid on the day of the ISI Admission Test.
  •  At the time of application, the candidates must upload a document that will remain valid on the day of the ISI Admission Test.
  • The candidates will be given an opportunity to update the Category related information (EWS, OBC-NCL status), North-East domicile status and PwD information after the ISI admission test.

ISI Admission Test Eligibility Criteria 2026

Below is the list of courses that are offered through ISI Admission Test 2026 subjects and their eligibility criteria: 

3 year Bachelor of Statistics (Hons): Successful completion of 10+2 years of Higher Secondary Education (or its equivalent) with Mathematics and English as subjects. (Offered at Kolkata)
Stipend: INR 5000/- per month.

3 year Bachelor of Mathematics (Hons): Successful completion of 10+2 years of Higher Secondary Education (or its equivalent) with Mathematics and English as subjects. (Offered at Bengaluru)
Stipend: INR 5000/- per month.

2 year Master of Statistics: A bachelor’s degree of three or more years’ duration, in any discipline. (Offered at Delhi)
Stipend: INR 8000/- per month.

2 year Master of Mathematics: A bachelor’s degree of three or more years’ duration in any discipline. (Offered at Kolkata and Bengaluru)
Stipend: INR 8000/- per month.

2 year Master of Science in Quantitative Economics: A bachelor’s degree of three or more year duration in any discipline. (Offered at Kolkata and Delhi)
Stipend: INR 8000/- per month. 

2 year Master of Science in Quality Management Science: A bachelor’s degree of three or more years’ duration in any discipline. (Offered at Bengaluru and Hyderabad)
Stipend: INR 8000/- per month.

2 year Master of Science in Library and Information Science: A bachelor’s degree of three or more years duration in any discipline. (Offered at Bengaluru)
Stipend: INR 8000/- per month.

2 year Master of Technology in Computer Science:
(i) a 4-year B.Tech./B.E. (or equivalent) degree in any stream
(ii) a master's degree in any subject and have passed Mathematics at the 10+2 level. (Offered at Kolkata)
Stipend: INR 12400/- per month.

A student with a valid GATE score above a threshold (to be decided by the Selection Committee) in his/ her own subject is eligible for admission through direct interview. For further details please
refer to the Selection Policy.

2 year Master of Technology in Quality, Reliability & Operations Research
Students can check eligibility criteria for 2 year master of technology in quality, reliability & operations research:
(i) a master's degree in Statistics with Physics and Chemistry at the (10+2) level
(ii) a master's degree in Mathematics with Statistics as a subject at the undergraduate or post-graduate level and Physics and Chemistry at the (10+2) level
(iii) a B.E./ B.Tech degree or any other qualificationconsidered equivalent (such as AMIE). (Offered at Kolkata)
Stipend: INR 12400/- per month.

1 year Post Graduate Diploma in Statistical Methods and Analytics
Check out the eligibility criteria for 1 year post graduate diploma in statistical methods and analytics:
(i) a 3 year bachelor's degree in any discipline with Mathematics as a subject
(ii) a B.E./ B.Tech. degree or any other qualification considered equivalent (such as AMIE). (Offered at ISI NE Centre at Tezpur and at Chennai. 50% seats at Tezpur are reserved for domiciled students of the North-East states of India)
Stipend: INR 3000/- per month ONLY for students domiciled in the North-East States of India.

1 year Post Graduate Diploma in Agricultural and Rural Management with Statistical Methods and Analytics
Students need to check eligibility criteria for 1 year post graduate diploma in agricultural and rural management with statistical methods and analytics:
 A 3 year bachelor's degree in any discipline with Mathematics/ Statistics as a subject at the intermediate (10+2) level. (Offered at Giridih).
