AFCAT Exam Day Guidelines 2025: The Indian Air Force will conduct the AFCAT 2 2025 exam on August 23, 24, and 25, 2025. Candidates appearing for the exam must follow the AFCAT 2 exam day guidelines laid down by the examination authority. AFCAT exam day guidelines comprise the dos and don'ts related to the exam. AFCAT Exam Day Guidelines 2025: The Indian Air Force (IAF) is all set to conduct the AFCAT 2 2025 exam on August 23, 24, and 25, 2025. AFCAT exam day guidelines were released along with the admit card. AFCAT 2 exam day guidelines comprise dos and don'ts related to the exam. Besides, it also carries information related to dress code, items prohibited inside the exam centre, items allowed inside the exam centre, reporting time, etc. Candidates must follow the rules and regulations mentioned in the exam day guidelines of AFCAT 2 2025

AFCAT 2 admit card 2025 was released on August 19, 2025. Candidates can download their admit cards by logging with user ID, password, and captcha code. Read below for more details on AFCAT exam day guidelines. 

AFCAT Shift Timings 2025

Candidates can check below the exam timings of AFCAT:

AFCAT Exam Day Guidelines 2025: Instructions for Candidates

Candidates can check below AFCAT exam day guidelines:

  1. Candidates are required to report to the exam centre in batches from 07:30 am onwards (for the first Shift) and 12:30 pm onwards (for the second Shift) as per the time slot mentioned in the admit card
  2. Any request for change of exam centre or date of exam will not be entertained
  3. Candidates are required to put only the thumb impression on the admit card in advance, before proceeding to the exam centre. Signatures on the admit card are to be endorsed in front of the invigilator(s)
  4. Candidates must reach AFCAT exam centre as per the reporting time for frisking, verification process, biometrics, identification and inspection of admit card, ID proof, photograph, signature, etc.
  5. Candidates are advised to familiarize themselves with the location of the exam centre in advance and ensure that they report in time
  6. Candidates need to take back-to-back printout of AFCAT admit card.
  7. Candidates need to bring the following things to AFCAT exam centre:
  • AFCAT admit card
  • Candidate’s Aadhaar Card
  • Another valid photo identity card such as PAN card/passport/Driving License/Voter’s ID card or any other valid photo identity proof with details of name, father’s name and date of birth
  • Two passport-size colour photographs
  • Ballpoint pen (blue or black) for signing on the attendance sheet and rough work

8. Barred Items

The following items are prohibited inside the exam centre premises:

  • Blue tooth device, communication/ electronic/ digital/ wireless devices such as calculators, docupen, electronic watches with facilities of calculator, cellular phone, memory card/ stick, pager, organizer, personal digital assistant(PDA), concealed microphone or camera, earphones, radio, headset, walkman, recorder, translator, etc
  • Pencil-box, book, geometry box, paper, log tables, clip board, slide rule, etc.
  • Personal items such as wristwatch/wristband, bracelets, handbags, ornaments, wallet, purse, head gear, scarf, goggles, jacket, eatables items, etc.

9: Dress Code

  • Candidates need to wear slippers/sandals with flat heels
  • Closed footwear such as shoes is not allowed in the exam centre
  • Clothes with large buttons are not permitted.
  • Candidates wearing attire for religious purpose will be thoroughly frisked

10. The candidate’s colour photograph will be taken during verification process. Candidates are required to put the thumb impression on the admit card in advance (at home) before proceeding to the examination centre and to sign on the same in front of the invigilators.

11. Candidates will be allowed to leave the exam hall after completion of AFCAT/EKT

12. For rough work, A4 size sheet will be kept at each candidate's desk. Additional sheets will be provided to candidates on demand. Candidates are required to write name and particulars on the rough sheets and drop the same in the drop box/handover to the staff before leaving the exam hall

AFCAT 2 2025 result was announced on September 16, 2025. The result was announced on the official website. However, we have provided the direct link to check the result on this page. Candidates qualifying the online test are called for AFSB interview.

AFCAT question paper is framed in English. The test paper carries questions from General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability and Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test. Total marks allotted to the test are 300.

Aspirants should practice the AFCAT previous year question paper for five to seven years. Practising the previous years' question papers helps candidates to know the difficulty level of the exam. This also helps candidates to solve the question paper in the exam with accuracy.

There is a medical test in the AFCAT selection process. The medical test is conducted at the time of AFSB Interview. It is one of the most important factors in the selection process of AFCAT. Candidates not clearing the medical test are rejected from further processes.

AFCAT selection process is the same for men and women candidates. However, the eligibility in terms of height and weight is slightly different from the male counterparts. Candidates applying for the AFCAT exam are required to appear for the online test and AFSB interview.

AFCAT official answer key is released by the examination authority. However, the unofficial answer keys are released by the coaching institutes. Candidates can use the unofficial answer keys till the time the official answer keys are not released.

The memory-based AFCAT answer keys are provided by the coaching institutes based on the feedback provided by the students. They are not 100 percent accurate, therefore, candidates should not completely rely on the same.

AFCAT 1 notification 2026 will be released in December 2025. AFCAT 2 notification will be released in May 2026. The notification will be released in PDF form and comprises the important details related to the exam. Candidates must check the notification before applying for the exam.
