The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the UGC NET  Political Science exam on December 11, 2023 (Shift 1). The overall difficulty level for the UGC NET Political Science paper 2 was easy to moderate in nature. The Paper comprised questions from Indian Political Thought, Mahatma Gandhi, International Relations (1945), Comparative Public Administrations, Acceptance Theory, Public Policy (Paragraph), Current Affairs (Military Exercise), Indian Foreign Policy, Authors and Books, etc. On the other hand, the UGC NET Paper 1 was easy.

The NTA UGC NET exam will be held in an online mode which is a computer based test. The exam will be MCQ based of three hours duration. Paper 1 is common for every students where as Paper 2 will be subject specific.
