How to Fill IISER Application form 2026?: Check Steps, Form Fees, Documents Required Details Here

Candidates can fill the IISER entrance exam 2026 application form in online mode as per the steps mentioned below:

Step 1: Register at IISER Admission Portal

Primarily, candidates need to register themselves at the IISER admission 2026 portal, which is https://iiseradmission.in/admission/application.html. For the same, candidates need to sign up using their name (as specified in Class 12 mark sheet), a valid email ID, and a password. After the signup, a verification email will be sent to candidates’ registered email IDs. On successful verification, log in to the accounts and proceed towards the next step of the application process.

Step 2: Fill IISER Entrance Exam Application Form

Next, candidates can start filling the IISER entrance exam 2026 application form in online mode. It may be noted that candidates can apply from more than one channel (SCB, JEE, KVPY). However, the application form and fee need to be different for each channel. Some of the details that candidates need to fill in the form are:

• Personal details such as name, date of birth, religion, category, disability status, guardian’s name, etc.

• Education details such as subject-wise marks secured in Class XII, name of the board, etc.

• Choice for IISER exam centre

• Preference for the IISER campus

• Upload a photo not larger than 2MB in size in png/ jpg/ BMP format

• Select Yes or No under the Float option

Step 3: Pay IISER Entrance Exam Application Fee

Lastly, candidates need to pay the IISER entrance exam 2026 application fee in online mode through the secure payment gateway on the application portal.

Once the fee is successfully paid, the IISER entrance exam 2026 application form will be submitted. Finally, take a printout of the application form.

• Rs.2,000/- for candidates applying under General, EWS, and OBC-NCL categories.
• Rs.1,000/- for candidates applying under persons with disabilities, persons registered as Kashmiri migrants and the SC/ST category.
• USD 100 for foreign nationals.
• Application fee is non-refundable

IISER 2026 Application Form: Documents Required

Here is the list of candidates required while filling out the IAT 2206 application form:

• Class X certificate
• Class XII (or equivalent examination).
• If the class XII (or equivalent) marks sheet is not available now, then you can instead upload a signed declaration form - “DECLARATION BY THE CANDIDATE IN LIEU OF ELIGIBILITY EXAM CERTIFICATE/
  MARKSHEET” (see Annexure). Fill in the form, sign it, scan it and then upload. The scanned copies of the actual marks sheet must be uploaded on or before 2nd July 2026, failing which you will not be allotted a seat in any of the IISERs.

IISER Entrance Exam 2026 Overall Eligibility Criteria

IISER exam officials had introduced a radical change in the IISER entrance exam eligibility criteria for the academic session 2025-2026. Earlier, IAT Eligibility criteria were determined based on the year in which the candidate had passed their Class 12 board exams. But from the 2025 session onwards, IISER eligibility criteria are based on the Date of Birth (DOB) of the candidates and age relaxation is given to the reserved category students.

As per IISER Exam 2025 New Eligibility Criteria: The IISER Admissions Board (IAB) has decided to reinstate the eligibility criteria used for the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT 2024) regarding the year of passing the Class XII (or equivalent) examination. 

Educational Requirements:

• Candidates must have passed the Class XII (or equivalent) examination in 2024 or 2025 or 2026 with science stream from any board recognized by the Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE) in India. Foreign Nationals need to upload an equivalence certificate issued by the Association of Indian Universities unless they have passed the Class XII or equivalent level examination in 2024 or 2025 or 2026 with science stream from any board recognized by the Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE) in India. The equivalence certificate must be uploaded while submitting the IAT 2026 Application Form under "Please upload a copy of a document supporting your claim of Foreign National (You'll need to produce original when necessary)".

• Candidates must have taken at least three subjects among Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics during their Class XII (or equivalent) examination.

IISER 2026 Eligibility Criteria: Generic

• Nationality: Applicants must be Indian nationals, OCI/PIO/Foreign Nationals to apply for IAT 2026.

• Board: The candidates must have passed the Class XII (or equivalent) examination with science stream from any board recognized by the Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE) in India. Foreign Nationals need to upload an equivalence certificate issued by the Association of Indian Universities unless they have passed the Class XII or equivalent level examination from any board recognized by the Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE) in India. The equivalence certificate must be uploaded while submitting the IAT Application Form under "Please upload copy of document supporting your claim of Foreign National (You'll need to produce original when necessary)".

• Subject Combination: Candidates must have taken at least three subjects among Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics during their Class XII (or equivalent) examination.

• Per centage in Class 12: Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD are required to score a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade in their Class XII (or equivalent) examination. Candidates belonging to other categories are required to score a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade in their Class XII (or equivalent) examination.
