IIT JAM Application Form 2027: Photograph Upload Dimensions
The photograph must match with your appearance on the day of the examination in the following dimensions:

IIT JAM Application Form 2027: Signature Upload Dimensions
While uploading the signature of the candidate, the following details need to be kept in mind:

Note: A signature with all CAPITAL LETTERS, initials, or in any other colour (other than black and blue) will NOT be accepted.
IIT JAM Application Form 2027: Caste Certificate Dimensions
Please upload a valid OBC (NCL)/EWS/SC/ST/PwD Category Certificate on the JOAPS portal. Candidates who belong to the following categories need to upload a valid category and/or PwD certificate:
- For OBC-NCL, EWS, SC, and ST categories, certificate issued ONLY by authorized officials shall be valid.
OBC-NCL and EWS certificates should be submitted in the prescribed format and should have been issued on or after April 1, 2026. If you are unable to upload a valid OBC-NCL / EWS Category Certificate in the JOAPS portal as soon as possible, your category will be automatically changed to "GENERAL" Category, and your application will NOT be rejected.
NOTE: Candidates should upload a scanned copy of the relevant certificate in PDF format of file size in the range 10 KB to 300 KB. Candidates shall be required to submit the same certificate during Admissions and also to the Admitting Institute.
IIT JAM 2027 Eligibility Criteria
The authority has released the IIT JAM eligibility criteria 2027 online. Candidates can check the eligibility criteria for the minimum conditions required for the IIT JAM exam 2027. The eligibility criteria comprises education qualification. Moreover, there is no age restriction. IIT JAM 2027 eligibility criteria is mentioned below.
- Candidates must have completed a bachelor's degree.
- Candidates who have appeared for or will appear for their graduation exams in 2027 are also eligible to apply.
- Those who qualify in the IIT JAM exam 2027 will be considered for the admission process
Till the year 2021, the eligibility criteria for IIT JAM stated that candidates should secure a minimum 55 per cent aggregate or 5.5 CGPA/CPI out of 10 for General/OBC (NCL)/EWS category candidates and 50 per cent aggregate or 5.0 CGPA/CPI for the reserved category candidates. However, from 2022 onwards, this criterion was relaxed. Now, applicants will have to get a bachelor's degree in a relevant subject, and there is no eligibility cutoff.
