Very satisfied with the facilities they provide, and the teachers are teaching very well.
Placements: More than 80 percent of students are placed in my course. The highest package is Rs. 1,50,000, the average is Rs. 1,00,000, and the lowest is Rs. 75,000. The top recruiting companies for my course are Nestled, Biocon, and Himalaya. Many students got internships in the Biocon company, even abroad. The top roles are research and development.
Infrastructure: We have Wi-Fi in the hostel, and the infrastructure is very good in VIT. The library is the best. Hostel facilities are so good, and the food is served very neatly. We have an ambulance for emergencies. We have badminton in our hostel. The hostel is very good, and the hygiene is very good. They have laundry also.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is very good. The course curriculum is so relevant, and they make the students industry-ready. The semester exam is somewhat tough, but the final exam sem is much tougher than the internals. The pass percentage is 60%.
Other: I chose this out of personal interest. The best thing is that there are many lab works. The timing of the class could be reduced. There are many events, and they keep the students engaged very well.

The college is a good place to learn Biotech.
Placements: In Biotechnology course at VIT Vellore, 80% of the students got placed with minimum packages of 3 Lacs to 18 Lacs per annum. Top recruiters include Biocon, Syngene, Novozymes and others. Top roles offered include research associate, Bioengineer, etc.
Infrastructure: College is green and has a very peaceful environment for the students to explore all kinds of extracurricular activities. The college is safe and the management is good. The college has a good Wi-Fi network along with high quality canteen facilities available.
Faculty: They follow FFCS curriculum pattern. The students choose their own timings to study and the libraries help them lot more than the PPTs. The teachers usually teach in the class which is a place to learn and acquire industrial experience as curriculum is designed that way.

Faculty: Yes, every faculty in VIT is well qualified and knowledgeable with vast teaching skills. Teaching sessions in labs are very good. Yes, the curriculum is highly relevant with hands-on training making us eligible for companies. Moderate - Tough. 80%.
Other: I love biotechnology, and VIT is one of the topmost colleges for biotech. So, I chose VIT. Maybe projects and internship training. Top-notch cultural events and fest, and also they encourage students to participate in sports and other activities with cash prizes.

I used to enjoy college, but it is important to balance both education and enjoyment.
Placements: The placements in our college are too good, like it has an assurance that everyone in the college is assured to get the placements with their required package of jobs; hence, I also believe in them, and they give us the appropriate training for the placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is well designed. The architecture of our college is good, and it is good that each block has its own style of design that has been designed in different styles of architecture and many kinds of shapes like hexagonally, etc.
Faculty: The curriculum is scheduled according to the midterms, like we have two midterm exams and one final exam that includes some externals for thirty marks, which will be assignments and quizzes to gain these external marks, and it is one of the easiest ways to do it.
Other: The campus life is good as there are limitations with instructions and all, and we can enjoy our lives with limits with our friends.

Our college has good infrastructure and provides good facilities.
Placements: Less than 10% of students are placed since recruiters prefer B.Tech Biotechnology over Integrated M.Sc. in Biotechnology students. Top recruiters include Dr. Reddy's and other less popular companies. About 40% of our senior batch got internships in various educational institutions.
Infrastructure: Lab facilities are excellent. Wi-Fi is very slow in academic buildings. Classrooms are good but don't have air conditioning. The library is very resourceful and the best thing on campus. The hostel rooms are allotted on the basis of your CGPA, and you get to choose your own block and room type. The mess food is fine.
Faculty: Teachers have knowledge of their subjects, and everyone has a Ph.D. The course curriculum is relevant, but it doesn't make students industry-ready. You have to put in an effort and learn on your own under the guidance of faculty members. They conduct 3 exams in a semester. Those are 2 CATs and 1 FAT, along with lab FAT. The pass percentage is 40%.

Our college curriculum provides a vast knowledge.
Placements: As the course is research-oriented, most of the students opt for higher studies abroad. University provides semester abroad programs and has ties with foreign universities. Many reputed pharmaceutical and biotech companies visit the university for placements.
Infrastructure: It has a separate building with well established labs and smart classrooms. All kinds of labs related to Biotechnology are available with proper equipment. The hostel rooms vary according to number of beds, air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned, apartment or non apartment type and students can choose between veg, non veg and special mess. Free Wi-Fi is available in every block. Mess food is healthy with varieties. Menu can be changed or modified with suggestions. Chettinad health center is open 24x7 with ambulance service and all the amenities such as sports, grounds, and gyms are available.
Faculty: All the teachers are highly experienced in teaching and research. The course curriculum includes a vast amount of topics that the students can choose. Teachers are friendly, helpful, and approachable regarding doubts, opportunities apart from academics, or any other issues. Exams are moderate and mainly focus on improving students knowledge and understanding.

A very good place to surf for knowledge, good placements in 2014, a place to grow a chance to learn.
Placements: About 70% of our course students were placed from 2008 till now (As this course was started at the year 2008). The highest salary offered was about 10 LPA ( Lacs per annum) and the lowest was 2.0 LPA. So totally an average of 5-6 LPA is offered if you're good enough in your academic as well as softskills and technical skills. As of now the top biotech company is Biocon located in Bangalore. Lab technician, diagnosis lab technician, BioInformatician, Microbiologist are the roles offered in this course and there are much more.
Infrastructure: Our university has one of the finest library in Vellore which has both literature as well as digital. Wi-Fi is available in the campus for faculty members but it's available in library and in hostels for students at a speed of 3 Mbps. All the classrooms has a projector in which the faculty prepares a power point presentation and make the students understand the concept very easily and if they have any doubt he/she may Google on the spot to clarify more easily for the student to understand the concept. The smart board helps the faculty members to teach without difficulty of switching the slides and drawing diagrams. All the lab technicians are well trained and sometimes helps us if we go wrong somewhere. The labs atleast contain two bio safety cabinet for students to do work as well as those who are doing project work. If there is any fault in the equipment it takes almost only 2 days for it to get either replaced or repaired. Since I'm a day scholar I am not well aware of hostel food, but as far as I know my friends often say that the food is good. The canteens (3 totally) are good and value for money. Chettinad hospital is present in our university which provides excellent treatment even in case of emergency. People who are interested in sports and game are always welcomed.
Faculty: All the faculty members are Ph.D. holders and are knowledgeable in their field. They will guide us if you're really interested on that field. They even help us to publish articles while you're learning. The faculty members teach well enough for the students and clarify any doubt that the student have. The course is curriculum relevant and it always has to different career. One can chose research when he/she is very good in laboratory skills. Others can chose industry if they're good in that.

Good to enjoy your studies. Easily manageable timings and good friendly environment.
Placements: Placements are available om based of the Goa scored by the student through out the course and based on the PAT registration. For senior batches placements are available. The lowest salary means 15k the highest salary 50k. Biocon and other it industries are came for campus interview. Minimum 50% students got jobs. Yes sometimes it may useful for the students.
Infrastructure: Computer Labs and many labs are provided with air conditioning. All the equipments needed for the lab are available in the concerned lab. Class room are with larger space and comfortable. Food quality I'm canteen is pure and good for health. With good infrastructure facilities.
Faculty: Yes definitely helpful and very knowledge
Teaching is depends upon the teachers some teach good and some others teach average. Practical methods are used for explanations. Faculty members are treat with friendly manner and good mode of understanding and teaching ability. The course curriculum are also useful to study about the biotech related subject cores.
Other: Many events and culturals are conducted like riviera and gravitas. Scholarships too available for the needy people.

1984 is the establishment year of MSc biotechnology in VIT. This is a four year undergraduate engineering programme in biotechnology. Biotechnology is an applied science which is a combination of biology and technology. The degree for this course would be provided by Vellore Institute of Technology

The admission process is based on 12th marks, and the application forms will be out by 2nd week of April. Just apply with your 12th score and wait for the counselling date.
