UGC NET 2018 is scheduled to be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) from December 9 – 23 in two slots per day. The exam is scheduled to be held in over 250 cities spread all over India. Admit cards for UGC NET 2018 exam will be released by the agency on November 19.
All candidates whose application process successfully completes will be able to download their UGC NET admit cards on the official website of the agency. Steps to download UGC NET 2018 admit card mentioned below:
Step 1: Visit the official website of NTA.
Step 2: Under NTA Exams header, visit the UGC NET page.
Step 3: Click on the Download UGC NET admit card link.
Step 4: Enter application number and password.
Step 5: Click on the Submit button.
On clicking the button, UGC NET December 2018 admit card will appear on the screen. Once downloaded, candidates must check the following information on the admit card:
- Candidate’s name
- Roll/ registration number
- Exam date
- Exam venue
- Exam time
- Contact details of the candidate
- Photograph of the candidate
- Signature of the candidate
- Exam related instructions
In case there is any discrepancy in the information provided on the admit card, candidates must immediately contact the exam authorities to get it rectified. Also, in case a candidate is not able to download his/ her admit card, he/ she may contact at the helpline number of the agency between 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM on working days from November 19 - 25, 2018.
Candidates must note that they have to appear for UGC NET exam only as per the date and time mentioned on the admit card. The official website informs, “The candidates are advised to read the instructions on the Admit Card carefully and follow them during the conduct of the examination.”
UGC NET admit card is an essential document to be carried to the exam centre. Candidates failing to get their admit cards to the exam centre might not be allowed to take the test. It may be noted that along with the admit card it is also mandatory for candidates to carry the following documents to the allotted UGC NET test centre:
- One passport size photo (same as uploaded on UGC NET application form)
- One original authorised photo ID
- PwD certificate, if a candidate belongs to the category
Documents that can be presented as a photo ID proof are:
- PAN Card
- Driving License
- Voter ID Card
- Passport
- Aadhaar Card (with photograph)
- Aadhaar Enrolment No
- Ration Card
Currently, application process for UGC NET December 2018 exam is underway. All candidates interested in applying for the exam can fill UGC NET application form latest by September 30, 2018. However, before filling the application form candidates are advised to check UGC NET eligibility criteria as prescribed by NTA.

The NTA released the UGC NET 2026 provisional answer key on the official portal at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. To download the answer key, candidates required application number, date of birth or password and security pin. The exam was condcuted from June 22 to June 30, 2026.
