NIRF 2025 Rankings are out. As per the latest NIRF 2025 rankings, SRM Institute of Science and Technology ranks #14 under the category 'Engineering'.

The TANCET 2026 registration process is anticipated to begin in the third week of Jan 2026 for admission to MBA and MCA courses.
The CUET UG 2026 registration window is expected to open in the first week of Mar 2026 for admission to UG courses.
The CLAT 2026 application process is now open for admission to the five-year Integrated LLB (UG) and one-year LLM courses. The last date to apply is Oct 31, 2025. Furthermore, the CLAT 2026 exam will be held on Dec 7, 2025.
The TNEA Counselling Process 2025 is ended with the release of the Round 3 provisional allotment list for admission to BE/BTech courses.
The UCEED 2026 registration portal is open for admission to the B.Des course. With the regular fee, the deadline to register is Oct 31, 2025. Further, the UCEED Exam 2026 will be conducted on Jan 18, 2026.
The SRMJEEE 2026 application process for the BTech and Integrated BTech-MTech courses is expected to commence in Nov 2025.
The CUET PG 2026 registration process for admission to PG courses is expected to begin in Jan 2026.
The GATE 2026 online application process is currently open for admission to ME/Mtech course. The last date to apply without fine fee has been extended to Oct 6, 2025. The GATE 2026 exam will be held on Feb 7, Feb 8, Feb 14, and Feb 15, 2026.

The mode of SRM University course admissions is primarily online. Admission to the courses is done based on merit and entrance exam scores. For the BTech course admission, SRM Institute Chennai conducts the SRMJEEE UG exam, whereas, for admission to its MBA programme, the university conducts the SRMJEEM exam. SRM Kattankulathur also accepts many state and national-level entrance exams such as CAT, TANCET, and MAT, for MBA admissions. Candidates willing to get admission to the SRMIST MTech programme must appear for the SRMJEEE PG exam.
