It's a very good college, provides a lot of opportunities for growth.
Placements: Around 80–85% of the students were placed in good companies. The highest package goes as high as 1 crore, and the average is 7–8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Asian Paints, L&T, and TASL. In my course, most students got good packages in well-reputed companies.
Infrastructure: The facilities were really good. The aerospace hangar is well-equipped with all the instruments needed to understand the practical aspects. The classrooms have smart boards, and the faculty members use all the new technologies to teach and give their students the best they can.
Faculty: The faculty is very helpful. Even after graduating, you can reach out to them for any kind of guidance. They have a lot of knowledge to share with those willing to learn. The course is well-designed, keeping the latest industrial requirements in mind.

Our college has impressive infrastructure.
Placements: Placements are not much good. Around 14 out of 140 students got placed in our college. The average salary package offered is 5 LPA. If you want IT jobs, then you can get a salary package of 12 LPA by working hard. Companies visit our college and provide design and marketing jobs. Our college tries to help us with placements and internships. It invites aerospace companies to provide lectures regarding job profiles for aerospace engineers.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. The hostel depends on which hostel you choose. You may face problems regarding food. The library is very good. You can play football, volleyball, basketball, and cricket in our college. I am satisfied with the lab facilities.
Faculty: Internal exams and the final exams are conducted for 50 marks. We have 3 internal exams. Assignments and surprise tests are conducted for 10 marks. Internal exams are conducted every month. If you read daily, you can get good marks. The course content is new and updated. Most of the teachers are helpful. You can ask any doubt to them. Some teachers are not good. They won't finish the syllabus.
Other: I am fascinated by aircraft, and I want to learn how they fly. I want to learn the mechanism and manufacturing process of aircraft, so I chose this course. Our college should remove some unnecessary courses like biology, chemistry, etc. The tech fest Aarush and cultural fest Milan are held in our college. Our college conducts many events at intervals. You can take part in sports tournaments. Our college has technical clubs like ASRL, Robocon, etc., where you can learn things, which are not taught in classrooms. We can participate in national and international competitions. Our college is not good in terms of placements.

I would recommend you to pursue CSE here.
Placements: About 90% of students get placed in companies that offer a salary package of 8 LPA to 12 LPA. There are many companies that come for recruitment. Placements in CSE are excellent. Companies like Zoho offer a salary package of 8 LPA. They provide internships, so getting placed won't be difficult. Placements are guaranteed.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are sufficient for a good time during the course. Rooms are clean and huge, with proper ventilation and plenty of space. Two-seater and three-seater rooms are available. Hospitality and other facilities are also good. Wardens are understanding and helpful.
Faculty: Faculty members make efforts towards teaching. Every faculty member has a Ph.D. The teaching environment is good. They are working hard to provide a good education to their students. The course is well designed so that you progress from a basic to an advanced level.

I am not satisfied with its placements.
Placements: Around 40% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was 18 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was around 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Tata, and Boeing. Almost 80% of students got internships in DRDO and other companies. The top roles offered are in the design sector of aircraft and propulsion systems in Royce.
Infrastructure: In our college, internet is available 24X7. Air-conditioners are available in our classrooms. Projectors are also available. It provides a free library for students. We can also borrow books from the library without paying any charges. Laboratory has enough facilities to perform the required experiments and to gain practical knowledge. Hostel rooms are average, and the food served in the mess is also average. Sports and games are not available.
Faculty: All the teachers are highly qualified and experienced. They are knowledgeable in their field. Our course curriculum is not relevant, and we need to do extra courses to become industry-ready. Semester exams are not difficult as compared to other universities. The subjects are good and students can score well.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in flying systems. The best thing about this course is that it provides exposure in the upcoming years as flying systems are developing every day. Placements and industrial knowledge can be improved. There are various events that take place in this college. We also get a chance to participate if we are interested. The campus crowd is huge. Our campus surroundings are very good.

SRM is good for personality building but not for the course of aerospace.
Placements: Only around 10 students were placed out of 140 students from the aerospace course. The average salary package of around 3 LPA-4 LPA is mostly offered by TCS, Infosys and Byju's. Internships are not offered from the campus, and roles offered were trainee engineers. Mostly, students opt for masters and hence don't attend placements.
Infrastructure: Facilities including hostels, Wi-Fi, library and hangars were above average here. The quality of the food served in the mess is not good in normal hostels, but in NRI hostels, the food served in the mess is good. Medical facilities and sports facilities on our campus were good. There were various clubs for students to take part in.
Faculty: Teachers of our department were very friendly and helpful. The course curriculum is relevant, but most of the students need to do master's to be industry-ready. Our class in-charge named Selva sir was like a local guardian to all of us. He was always supportive and guided us.
Other: I had an interest in the aviation industry, and hence I had opted for this particular course. The hangar is the best part of this course. I think it is good if a little more practical learning is included in this course curriculum. Campus life is really exciting for students as events and fests are organised all the time. The crowd of the college is also very friendly. Academically top students are awarded scholarships also.

It has great infrastructure and good faculty members.
Placements: For aerospace, placements are a big challenging task, but the placement department tried their best to bring the companies to the campus. We need to do two internships in this course duration in which one is in the third semesters and fourth semester. The final semester is fully allocated to the major project.
Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure and hostel facilities, but the rules are a bit rigid. However, we get used to it. Food is available in the mess, and the area of the mess is huge. Cleanliness matters a lot. The availability of food and the timings are exactly as same. Medical facilities are at best, and we have a hospital on the campus.
Faculty: Faculty members are qualified and dedicated. The curriculum is very diversified, and we get the knowledge of all things like technical and non-technical theoretical knowledge. The in-depth knowledge of some faculty members in the subject is awesome, and they don't need an instrument to explain. They explain by giving more examples.
Other: It is a huge campus, and we are famous for the technical fest named Aarush and the cultural fest named Milan.

Overall, it is a good college.
Placements: For aerospace engineering, we can't expect placements like other departments like CSE, but students who have skills in the field can achieve. I am in 2nd year now, so I know what our seniors said to me.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility in the hostel is good, but we can't play games using Wi-Fi. I am in Adhiyaman block, and the hostel is well-maintained. Wardens are friendly and helpful, and 24x7 medical assistance is available.
Faculty: Quality of teaching is very good, but few teachers might not satisfy your expectations. Overall, the teaching quality is good.

College experience of a lifetime at the cost of a fees as much as a Masters abroad.
Placements: Above 50% of students who sat for placements got jobs. Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys and TCS were the top mass recruiting companies which gave out jobs in huge numbers. Many core companies for head branches also come for campus placements. Core placements for aerospace were scarce or one can say nil.
Infrastructure: There are projectors and air-conditioning in almost all classrooms. However classrooms in which there are no air-conditioners, the ventilation is good. The library facility is huge. Some of the lab equipment are only there in some other IITs of the country and available in SRM as well. There are several canteens spread across the entire campus. Slowly the well known food outlets are also getting introduced into the campus, for instance Subway. The mess food is average and would not be liked by everyone. There is an entire hospital within the campus with huge infrastructure, although many students become interns due to which consulting might not be the best at times. Recommendation would be to seek help from outside hospital. (Opinion such just from my personal experience, could be wrong). There are sufficient number of facilities and enough encouragement provided for sports and games.
Faculty: The teachers were helpful and did their best. Although only a few had enough exposure and depth of knowledge. Some senior faculty are very intellectual and have over 30+ years of experience of industry and very high qualifications too. This benefits a lot in the end during the study of core subjects and project work. The teaching quality overall is between average and above average. The course curriculum is relevant. But for students to be industry ready they have to put in efforts for their interest themselves. It is a good course for learning, not being industry ready.
Other: I have always been passionate about aerospace industry and had strong will to study and be a part of the Aerospace community. The curriculum and some lab facilities are one of the best. The fees is very high for many students who might come from an economically weak background. Very expensive even for upper middle class families. Scholarships are provided to good rank holders of the entrance exam as well as class topper. The crowd in the campus comes from upper middle class and rich families. There are many events and fest that are organised and very well known personalities visit the campus for all the occasions as speakers, guest lecturers or even performers during cultural fests. Bollywood actors, singers have become a usual. APJ Abdul Kalam had visited several times as a speaker and chief guest during my course period. Also our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji came as the Chief guest of convocation event.

Most probably you’ll have to write the entrance exam if you are able to score well then and only you’ll be able to get scholarship. All the best. Hope that answers your question. Thank you

Both degrees are equally good. Aerospace is a specialisation in Aeronautical Engineering. You can chose either without any fear or concerns.

Hello Ezhil, I don't know how this query has come up after three years, but it's relevant. These days tution fees in private engineering colleges is about 1L per annum. Living + misc expenses can be about 20K. Multiplied by 4 is the probable expenditure.
