Absolutely dissatisfied because of faculty and placements.

Placements: In a group of 55 members, only 10 members got placements, and 3 got Non-IT companies. The highest package is 12 LPA and the lowest is 3 LPA. No companies are recruiting for my course. A total of 15 members got internships at CDAC that were not based on interviews, just recommendations. Most roles offered are Non-IT.

Infrastructure: Amrita Chennai University is a new location in a village 60 km outside of the city, and they are taking a lot of time on infrastructure. The hostels are too bad; they didn't even clean the rooms. The warden told us to clean the room, only the bathrooms were cleaned. The food is average. We want to adjust, but there is no Zomato also.

Faculty: The teachers didn't even have 10 years of experience. They just came with a PPT and explained in the air, that's it. The teachers behave like leaders. They are good with only some local students. Only some teachers, like Maran Sir, have good knowledge about the subjects.

Other: I chose the ECE course. The best thing is learning all about the circuits, but most teachers don't even know how many types of circuits there are. They want to change the faculty first. They have to take 10 years of experienced teachers to take classes. They just put on a festival event only.

My opinion about my college.

Placements: Many companies will visit every year for placements, and most everybody will get placed, and top companies like Microsoft and Google, Infosys, Tata, and others will visit and take students from here. The average here is 10 to 14 LPA, and the lowest is 6 LPA.

Infrastructure: The hostel is somewhat difficult to adjust to as its taste is not that good and you have to move on, and the hostel rules are *. You'll fed up by hostel rules. Please choose a hostel if you want to join the college, and nearby, many PGs are available. Join them.

Faculty: The faculty, curriculum, and exams are five stars. It will be good. Faculty are friendly, labs are fully equipped, and the library is good; many books and other journals will be there. The campus is small compared to other campuses, but you will like it.

Other: The course is good and updated, and other activities in college, like festivals and events, will be less before my batches and after they are good.

Good placements, infrastructure and teaching .

Placements: The percentage of students placed is 95% and the highest package is around 57 LPA, and the average package is 9 LPA. The top recruitment companies are Google, Amazone Cisco, Bosch, Microsoft, IBM, Dell etc. Amrita has very good internship record also.

Infrastructure: The facility and infrastructure is good. Well established classrooms and Wi-Fi connection is there in the campus and the hostel. We huge library which is very good, hostel is very good there is no power cut water issue. Mess food is also good, there are very good paly grounds and games.

Faculty: The faculty are we educated and experienced and they are helpful, all are Ph.D. holders and curriculum is very much relevant, and it is make students hands-on experience and over all very much worth. Iam satisfied with the teaching and curriculum. We got the industry exposure.

Review of Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham - Chennai Campus.

Placements: Almost 60-70% of students got placed in our batch. Placements are average in this course. The highest salary package offered ranges between 13 LPA - 14 LPA.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. Hostel is great. The food quality is average.

Faculty: Teachers are well qualified. The teaching quality is great. Semester exams are difficult. Passing is hard in this college. I would rate 8 out of 10 for teaching quality.

Other: I chose this course because of my interest in it. Fests are not good. You cannot go outside in the evening. You will be only permitted to go out on holidays. You will be treated like a child studying in primary school.
