Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) has released IIT JAM 2026 Admit Card on its website. Students who successfully registered for IIT JAM 2026 exam can download their IIT JAM 2026 Hall Ticket through JOAPS portalAdmit card is a mandatory document to appear for examination, and it must be carried to exam centre along with a valid ID proof. IIT JAM 2026 exam will be conducted on February 15, 2026. How to Download IIT JAM 2026 Admit Card?

Students can download IIT JAM 2026 Admit Card by following this process:

  • Candidates can follow this advice to download their admit card for the IIT JAM 2026 exam.
  • Open IIT JAM 2026 official website: https://jam2026.iitb.ac.in/. 
  • Click on JOAPS admit card. Solve the given arithmetic expression and click on the submit button 
  • Check declaration box then enter your signature and click on the "Download Admit Card" button.

After downloading, candidates need to take a printout of the IIT JAM admit card and carry it to the allotted exam centre along with an original copy of a valid ID proof. It may be noted that candidates not carrying their admit card or ID proof at the time of the exam will not be allowed to appear for the exam. 

Q:   How can I get admission to the MA by Research course at IIT Bombay?
A:

Students holding Bachelor's degree with 60 percent marks (55 percent for reserved category) are eligible to apply. Eligible students should visit the IIT Bombay website to fill the application form. The selection is through GATE or MAAT exam followed by an interview round.

Q:   Is it mandatory to take a printout of IIT JAM admit card?

Yes it is important to print out IIT JAM admit card as it is the entry pass to the examination hall. You will not be permitted to enter the examination centre without it. 

Q:   How can I get admission in IIT Mumbai?

IIT Bombay admission to all the courses is entrance-based (Except for EMBA, where admission is merit-based and performance in the interview round). The IIT Bombay admission process includes the application process, selection round, cutoff, merit list or counselling and other steps. For BTech, candidates have to clear JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Candidates need to thoroughly go through the information on their IIT JAM admit card. If they find any discrepancy in the same, they need to inform the IIT JAM exam conducting authority at the earliest. The information present on the admit card for IIT JAM 2026 is as mentioned below:

What to do in case of an Error in the JAM 2026 Admit Card Download?

In case of any discrepancy in the IIT JAM 2026 admit card of the candidate or his/her photograph and signature shown on the IIT JAM 2026 admit card, candidates should immediately approach the IIT Bombay Help Line between 10.00 am. and 5.00 pm. IIT Bombay mentions, "In such a case, the candidate would appear in the examination with the already downloaded Admit Card. However, IIT Bombay will take necessary action to make corrections in the record later." Hence, candidates need not worry about the possibility of not being allowed inside the IIT JAM exam centre. However, they must follow up with IIT Bombay before the commencement of the admission process.

Steps to Take in Case Of Error in IIT JAM 2026 Hall Ticket

Students can follow these steps in case of an error in IIT JAM Admit Card:

  • Try again later/Go on a different browser: Generally, larger server loads cause difficulties during IIT JAM 2026 Admit Card downloading; try again in several hours or in an alternative browser/device.
  • Check your details: Use the `Registration ID` (or similar) and Email ID to validate your credentials in JOAPS.
  • Contact the organising authority: Immediately approach the IIT Bombay Help Line between 10.00 am. and 5.00 pm.

Q:   What is the last date to fill the choices in JoSAA counselling?
A:

The dates for JoSAA counselling 2026 choice filling will be announced once the result of JEE Main 2026 is declared. Candidates can fill choices only during the choice filling period. Also, candidates need to lock their choices before the last date.

Q:   What are the photograph specifications that need to be pasted in the IIT JAM admit card?
A:

Candidates has to paste their pass port size photoof 4"x6" dimension on IIT JAM 2026 admit card. Photo should be same as uploaded during IIT JAM 2026 application process. They also had to ensure that photo is clearly visible and legible and fulfills the guidelines given by examination conducting body.

 The photograph had to be pasted properly on the admit card so that it does not drop off from the document. The photograph should have followed the parameters given below:

  • The photograph should not be older than January 2025
  • The photograph should have been taken against a white background
  • The face should occupy at least 50% of the area of the photograph with a full-face view looking into the camera directly.
Q:   How can I get MTech admission in IIT Bombay?
A:

IIT Bombay offers two-year MTech courses in 39 specialisations under 18 departments. Admission to the course is based on scores in GATE followed by COAP counselling. In addition, to be eligible to take the entrance test, candidates must also meet the minimum eligibility criteria. Further, aspirants can apply for GATE online by visiting the official website. Aspirants who have not qualified GATE can get admission through written test conducted by the institute. The shortlisted candidates are further called for a personal interview round.
