Overall, the faculty of commerce (BHU) is good.
Placements: From my experience, I can say that the faculty of Commerce (B.Com Hons) does not provide good placement opportunities. The placement rates are very low. Only 5 to 6 students get placed in the B.Com (Hons) course every year, and the companies that come for M.Com also conduct interviews for B.Com (Hons) students.
Infrastructure: Benches are well maintained. The faculty has a library inside that contains all the books necessary for the semester. It also has Wi-Fi facilities but does not have a canteen inside.
Faculty: Faculty is very well educated, and our course has applied NEP 2020 from 2024 onwards. So, our course syllabus is new compared to previous batches. The semester exams are not very difficult, but the paper evaluation is strict. The curriculum doesn’t make students industry-ready.
Other: Best thing about our course is that it is new and follows NEP 2020. Many seminars are held in the faculty, and scholarship facilities are also available. Sports facilities are provided as well, including cricket matches.

Really bad crowd, bad campus life, and literally no exposure.
Placements: Placements of the Faculty of Commerce at Banaras Hindu University are below average. The placement rate for B.Com (Hons) is very low, approximately 40%-50%. Companies like Infosys, and TCS visited the campus for recruitment, and internships are difficult to get, especially for freshers. An average package of 5LPA to 7LPA is offered.
Infrastructure: Hostels provided for this course, usually for Indian students, are in Triveni complex: Kaveri or Saraswati hostel. The hostel food is more than average and is good compared to other hostels. The building and infrastructure of the hostels are really good. There is a canteen provided for Triveni complex students where good drinking water and Wi-Fi facility are provided, and there is an open gym in the hostel, with an area to play badminton.
Faculty: Professors are good, with really good experience; the quality of teaching is appreciative. NEP (New Education Policy) has been followed since this year (2025), making the curriculum relevant. It's based on practicality, making students really ready for the corporate world. The semester exams are held twice a year, with a passing percentage of 32%-40% out of 100.
Other: Events or fests are not held in this college, exposure is very less! Campus life in this college is near zero. Honestly, the faculty is good but the crowd is really bad! It's difficult to find like-minded people, and exposure is really bad. Students preparing for government exams and competitive exams may get their crowd, but students who want corporate knowledge, may not find their people.

Satisfied with the college and loved my graduation because of my friends.
Placements: After completing our degree, nothing is mentioned to us about any kind of placements. The placement cell of my faculty is very slow. We are also not taught any specific skills to face the real world. More emphasis is on the bookish knowledge.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is pretty average. The food is definitely cheap and nice. The scope of games and sports is wider in the case of boys. The central library is very spacious and has the best environment for studying. The cyber library is must in the summer.
Faculty: Teachers are very experienced. Some of them are definitely very lazy and don't want to work. The exam pattern, in my opinion is very easy. We have an exam for 70 marks with 5 questions of 14 marks each. Teachers have a set grading pattern.
Other: The events of other faculty members are very nice. My faculty (commerce) is very laid back in organizing events. I wish to change that about my faculty and course.

BHU - The education capital is known for a reason.
Placements: As my course was B.Com (Hons), so there are hardly any placements. Only 1% of students got placed with a salary package that ranges from 1.5-2 LPA. Many students did not accept the offer. It is not good in placements, especially for commerce students. I would not suggest joining any bachelor's degree in the hope of placements from BHU.
Infrastructure: One of the best things about BHU is its campus, as it's also known as the largest residential university in Asia. We will have access to excellent infrastructure here including libraries, labs, sports grounds, open gyms, etc. I was a hosteller and the time I spent there has taken a very special space in my heart. It was full of fun and learning. The warden and mess in charge are really supportive and friendly. The food is just wow.
Faculty: After completing a 3-year degree course, it has experienced a university vibrant life, integrated with talented faculty members who are always available to help students. Academics at BHU are top-notch, with a wide range of subjects. The course curriculum is designed in such a way that it gives immense knowledge to students to apply them practically. Semester exams are not that difficult for those who are regular to the classes. The pass percentage is 33.34%. Overall, the university provides a well-rounded education that prepares students for success in their chosen careers.
Other: If we are considering BHU for our higher education I would say go for it. The university has a lot to offer from its cultural events to sports events. We will have an amazing time in Varanasi exploring its food, culture, and spiritual places.

The campus life is good in my opinion .
Placements: Bhu has good placement. It provides us with good campus placement. The highest package is 8LPA, the lowest package 1.5 lacs per annum and average package is 5 lakh per annum. Top companies recruiting are Tata, etc. Almost 85% students got placed from our college. Our college provides good placement opportunities.
Infrastructure: One of the best colleges in term of infrastructures in india. Very big campus with every facility available. It has a good Wi-Fi connection and it has a commerce lab. It has a big library. The hostel facilities are good. Around 2 students can stay in each room.
Faculty: They have the best faculty available. Teachers are Ph.D. and research scholars. Teachers are helpful. They are always available to clear our doubts. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum doesn't make students industry ready.
Other: In short campus life is amazing It has a beautiful campus and has everything a student needs for a campus life our college conduct events. I chose this course because of my interest in it .

Absolutely dissatisfied because of.
Placements: The placements in my college are pretty decent, I would say. The percentage of students who got placed in my college mainly depends on the cutoff, their caste, and the number of students applying for the course. Companies like Deloitte, Byju, etc., visit the campus. As for the remaining questions, sorry, I don't have any correct knowledge.
Infrastructure: The commerce lab and classrooms are fine, the library is decent, I would say. I have no experience in PG and hostels. The campus is not good but not bad either. There is a lack of greenery in the campus, too many unwanted outsiders in the college, and no rules and regulations, etc. I had tried two fast food items from the college canteen, and they both were awful. It was really bad. No for canteen food from that time. Regarding medical facilities, I don't know. In terms of sports and games, there is an indoor auditorium in the college and a big ground (which has accountable trees) on the campus. It's decent, actually. Don't come with high expectations.
Faculty: I didn't get any fresher's fest, orientation, or festivals yet, but our 1st-semester exams are scheduled to start from the last week of this month. Honestly speaking, I am losing my last brain cell. I mean, what do they want from us? Seriously. Anyway, what can we do now? We aren't mentally prepared for the exams, especially I'm not.
Other: Decent feels. Extra curriculum. Nothing like that has happened yet, and I'm disappointed.

For admission generally they ask for caste certificate not income certificate. Because reservation for SC or st categories is given on the basis of caste not income.

Still they have asked for income certificate then you can apply for these certificates on Jan seva Kendra and you can get a receipt whi
