BHU BSc Eligibility & Highlights 2025
BHU BSc (H) duration range from three to four years. This UG level course is offered in different specialisations. Some of the available specialisations are Computer Science, Mathematics, Biology, Agriculture, etc. BHU BSc (H) admission is done based on CUET scores. Interested students who meet the eligibility criteria can go to the CUET website and select BHU as preference for admission. The candidates who meet the cutoff get counselling call letters by the concerned head of the department/coordinator.
BHU BSc (H) eligibility criteria is that the student must be a Class 12 or equivalent exam pass. The students must keep the important documents ready during the admission process.

BHU placements are good. The highest and average packages secured by MBA students in 2025 were INR 19.8 LPA and INR 10.1 LPA, respectively. Median salary stood at INR 9.2 LPA. The university has not yet released the placement data 2026 for other courses. During the placement drive 2025, a total of 177 placement drives were held, and more than 950 students were placed.
Any caste, region, religion students can apply for admission to various courses at BHU. Any caste student must fulfill the eligibility criteria and take admission. Banaras Hindu University course admissions is entrance-based for most of the programmes. Thus, one-year dropper student can apply for the desired course, however, qualifying the respective entrance is the a must. Apart from this, aspirant should meet the course-specific minimum eligibility requirements as well.

BHU BSc Admission Dates 2025
Admission for UG courses is according to the achieved scores in CUET UG. Students who are planning for the course should be aware of the CUET UG dates. Its registrations are carried out in Mar and the entrance exam is conducted in May/ Jun. Students must submit the applications on or before the prescribed deadline. Yes, to apply for BHU BSc (Hons) course, candidates need to register online for CUET-UG. From 2022, the BHU-UET exam is replaced with this exam. Based on the merit of candidates' performance in the entrance exam, candidates are then required to register separately for the counselling round. National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted CUET-UG entrance test from May 21 to Jun 23 and the result was declared on Jul 15.
BHU accepts CUET scores for admission to UG and PG courses. The admissions are over within few weeks of CUET counselling. CUET-PG is usually jeld in March whereas, CUET-UG takes place in May. Banaras Hindu University can be reached via air, rail, or road transport. The airport the nearest to BHU is Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport. It is around 30 KMs away from the campus.
There are three main railway stations in Varanasi, namely Varanasi Junction (Varanasi Cantt.), Banaras Station, and Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction. Banaras Station is the closest to BHU. Those travelling by road can take NH-19 or NH-31. Various public transports run on these national highways. Within the city, autos, e-rickshaws, and cabs are easily available to reach the BHU campus.
NEET PG 2025 cut off has been reduced in comparision to last few year cut off. The cut off is the minimum marks required to qualify for the exam in that particular caregory. BHU accepts CUET-UG scores for admission to several UG courses. Candidates seeking admission to BHU must apply online to register themselves. Follow the step-wise admission process as given below:
- The BHU application process is conducted in online mode through the official website of NTA (nta.ac.in). The fee for General category students is INR 750, INR 700 for OBC-NCL/EWS, and INR 650 for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender.
