    On All Courses
Q:   Is BSc Maths (Hons) available at BHU?
    A:

Yes, BHU offers three-year BSc (Hons) in Maths. The course is divided into six semesters. Candidates seeking admission need to appear for CUET conducted by NTA followed by a counselling round. The applications for the same are accepted in online mode (cuet.samarth.ac.in). Moreover, before registration, candidates shall carefully check the course-specific eligibility criteria. The seat intake for this course is 573. Moreover, the fee for the programme is INR 17,050 as per unofficial sources.

Q:   Do the BHU BSc course fees change based on regular or paid seats?
    A:

Yes, your selection quota directly impacts the active BHU BSc course fees you will pay. Regular seats receive major government subsidies, keeping your semester bills extremely low. Paid seat brackets require students to pay premium rates for the same Science track. Always verify your seat type during counselling rounds.

Q:   Are laboratory equipment breakage charges included in the BHU BSc course fees?
    A:

Standard laboratory equipment access is fully covered under the baseline BHU BSc course fees. However, this academic component strictly excludes individual equipment damage costs. If an undergraduate breaks expensive lab gear, the institution penalizes them. The university deducts these specific repair fees from your refundable caution deposit.

Q:   What is the eligibility for B.Sc. Hons agriculture in BHU?
    A:
Eligibility for B.Sc (Hons.) in agriculture is that candidate must have passed 10+2 with minimum of 50% with mandatory subjects: physics, chemistry, mathematics / biology. SC/ST candidates must have secured passing marks only.

The college is cost-effective and has a good environment and infrastructure.
Placements: In BHU, there is a chance of placement, but it is not for Physics students. Students get placements after completing a B.Sc. in Statistics, CS, and Chemistry. Last year, the highest was approximately 8 LPA for Statistics students
Infrastructure: The Physics department lab is good in my view. Labs are high-tech. Some are not well-equipped, but overall, it is good. The environment is also good. But students should not expect professors to help in the lab. They need to do it themselves using YouTube videos or practical books. Wi-Fi is available in every building of the university (not on roads). Each classroom contains 65–75 students, though its capacity is more than 100 students. Classrooms are well developed.
Faculty: It is obvious that not all professors are always good, but for me, professors in the 1st and 2nd semester were overall good. They help if students ask doubts. They generally do not solve numericals because usually no numericals come in exams. The course curriculum is based on IIT JAM, CUET PG, etc., which is one of the good aspects.
Other: For Physics students, many events are organized based on astronomy, nuclear physics, quantum physics, etc.

Great faculty members and excellent lab facilities with great exposure and an outstanding campus lif
Placements: After B.Sc. Hons in Chemistry, there is a very minor rate of direct placement. You have to complete at least an M.Sc. degree to get a placement in a chemistry-oriented company. Internship rate is often good. Students get multiple opportunities for internships in IITs and other renowned labs.
Infrastructure: Lab facilities are good and better than those of other central universities. Hostel rooms are well and good. The green campus of BHU gives a very good experience of living. All hostel rooms have Wi-Fi connections, and some hostels have a sports area and a sports ground. Food quality is quite unsatisfactory.
Faculty: Faculty members are top-class. Each faculty has its own achievements at national and international levels. Quality of education is excellent, and each faculty take class regularly. Semester exams are moderately difficult, just follow the class notes. Teachers are very supportive.
Other: If you have a good interest in Chemistry and want to build a career in Chemistry, BHU is the best place to be. Campus life is amazing. You will enjoy the course.

My college is the best in several things, like atmosphere and the study level.
Placements: There are no placements in the B.Sc. course, but in the M.Sc. course, placements take place. The highest package is 10 LPA, and the lowest package is 4 LPA. Many recruiting companies visit the college to hire students for my course. Roles are offered by chemical companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my department is the best. My department has the biggest building in the whole university. There are many labs to perform practicals. There are the highest students in my course. The hostel is also good. There are 4 to 5 mess facilities, 3 canteens, and a playground.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They teach us in an energetic and very easy language. If we ask questions, then they answer all of those questions at any place. They also take extra classes if most students have doubts about the topic. Exams conducted are very good.
Other: I chose this course because I have a great interest in Chemistry from my school time. I love studying Chemistry. I think I need to improve my writing abilities in Chemistry, like less objective, more subjective, and teachers are also helping me with this topic.

    Absolutely satisfied.
Placements: Around 40-50% of students from our course are placed through campus placements and off-campus. The average package is 5-7 LPA, the highest is 20 LPA, and the lowest is 2-3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, TCS, Wipro, and Deloitte. Not mostly, but some of them are in Infosys, Wipro, and one in Microsoft. Web developer, software developer, technical support engineer, and UI/UX designer.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi is awesome, it's too good, and the classroom is also nice, although it doesn't have AC, but it's good. There is a lift in the building, and the labs are fully functional and have AC. The food is okay, some days it's too good. There are a lot of mess and canteens; you can go anywhere and eat. It's free to enter, pay, and eat, and the medical facilities are on top. The hospital is nearby, it's part of the college only, Sir Sunderlal. Sports and games are also good, with all the equipment and a trainer. There is a gym also.
Faculty: Professors are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. If you want to study, they will teach you very perfectly and make you learn everything. Some professors are not cooperative that much, but some are very cooperative. This course calculates relevant and irrelevant aspects. The student's industrial exposure is ready. The semester exams are not too difficult, but it depends on the professor who teaches you. Some professors give you many marks, but some don't give you any. Even if you write everything, it totally depends on the professor. 40% in each semester.
Other: I opted for this course because I love this course, and the best thing about my course is that in BHU, you will have the best teachers, and they will teach you selflessly the things that can make you better. My course could have more practical work and more internships in the third semester. They should be serious and give us real coding types. In the Science faculty, there are not many events and fests, and not much campus crowd. All is very green, and the scholarship system is also good. There are a lot of opportunities to enroll in extracurricular activities.

The placement cell is empty as there is no demand in the market for B.Sc. students. For employment, students have to take on their own. But for medical and IIT, the placements are very good.
Infrastructure: The campus is very large, and greenery makes it more beautiful. The hostel facility is very good for girls and boys. For boys, there is no timing of leaving the hostel, but for girls, it's 10 PM. But for the hostel, you have to score very good marks on the entrance. The network is very bad, and Wi-Fi is also slow, and the range is very poor.
Faculty: The faculty is very good and well-experienced. Classes are regular, and rarely do professors cancel classes. They are very helpful. Although the B.Sc. course is not industrial-ready, the paper set by the professors is tough, and you have to prepare for a long time.
Other: I have a B.Sc. H in Chemistry. Currently, it's my 1st year, but the campus environment is very good, and the social groups are also good. Beyond this, you cannot expect much from the college for placement. It offers a library where you can prepare for any government exam.

    Review of Banaras Hindu University.
Placements: Almost 80%, but students preferred a Master's. Top recruiters are Akash Institute and Physics Wallah. Banaras Hindu University offers very good practical facilities for students. Some students also clear the IIT JAM examination and choose IIT for further studies.
Infrastructure: There is a very good environment in the hostel. Sports events also happen in the Brocha hostel. Brocha and Ramakrishna are the names of the B.Sc. Hons boys' hostels in Banaras Hindu University. There are also hostel facilities for girls. In the hostel, Wi-Fi and library facilities are also available.
Faculty: Teachers are very knowledgeable and helpful for studies and practical work at Banaras Hindu University. There are also field activities that occur in every department for students. Semester exams are quite tough, and this is helpful for students to handle pressure and manage themselves.
Other: A huge number of events happen. They encourage the students to pursue further studies.
