BHU BSc Eligibility & Highlights 2025
BHU BSc (H) duration range from three to four years. This UG level course is offered in different specialisations. Some of the available specialisations are Computer Science, Mathematics, Biology, Agriculture, etc. BHU BSc (H) admission is done based on CUET scores. Interested students who meet the eligibility criteria can go to the CUET website and select BHU as preference for admission. The candidates who meet the cutoff get counselling call letters by the concerned head of the department/coordinator.
BHU BSc (H) eligibility criteria is that the student must be a Class 12 or equivalent exam pass. The students must keep the important documents ready during the admission process.

BHU placements are good. The highest and average packages secured by MBA students in 2025 were INR 19.8 LPA and INR 10.1 LPA, respectively. Median salary stood at INR 9.2 LPA. The university has not yet released the placement data 2026 for other courses. During the placement drive 2025, a total of 177 placement drives were held, and more than 950 students were placed.
Any caste, region, religion students can apply for admission to various courses at BHU. Any caste student must fulfill the eligibility criteria and take admission. While selection process, students are not judged basis their religion, they are judged based on their merit. Hence, any student meeting the eligibility criteria can get admission in BHU. After the final selection, students are required to pay the course fee. BHU BSc Admission Dates 2025
Admission for UG courses is according to the achieved scores in CUET UG. Students who are planning for the course should be aware of the CUET UG dates. Its registrations are carried out in Mar and the entrance exam is conducted in May/ Jun. Students must submit the applications on or before the prescribed deadline. Yes, to apply for BHU BSc (Hons) course, candidates need to register online for CUET-UG. From 2022, the BHU-UET exam is replaced with this exam. Based on the merit of candidates' performance in the entrance exam, candidates are then required to register separately for the counselling round. National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted CUET-UG entrance test from May 21 to Jun 23 and the result was declared on Jul 15.
BHU accepts CUET scores for admission to UG and PG courses. The admissions are over within few weeks of CUET counselling. CUET-PG is usually jeld in March whereas, CUET-UG takes place in May. 1: BHU BSc Application Process 2025
The BHU application process is online and eligible students can apply on the NTA website. An application fee of INR 650 (General/ OBC Category)/ INR 550 (SC/ST Category) has to be paid for form submission. The BHU application process is:
- Visit the official website of CUET-UG (cuet.samarth.ac.in) and click on the 'New Registration' tab.
- Fill out the application form with all the mandatory details.
- Upload the scanned photograph and signature as per the specifications.

2: Shortlisting of Applications
In this step, the applications are scanned for eligibility fulfilment. The university admits students based on CUET scores followed by a counselling round. Applicants with a score equal to or better than the cutoff are selected for admission.

Candidates seeking admission to BHU BSc (Hons) course must visit the official website of the university to apply online. BHU BSc (Hons) admission is based on candidates' performance in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG). To get admission to BHU BSc (Hons) courses candidates need to register for the CUET-UG entrance test. BHU BSc (H) admission is strictly entrance-based. Earlier, admission was through BHU-UET, however, now the students need to take the CUET-UG exam. The university offers three to four year long BSc (Hons) courses. It is available in different specialisations, such as Agriculture, Mathematics, and Biology. The BSc (Hons) course in Agriculture is also offered at Rajiv Gandhi South Campus, Barkachha, and Mirzapur under Special Courses of Studies. BHU accepts CUET-UG scores for admission to several UG courses. Candidates seeking admission to BHU must apply online to register themselves. Follow the step-wise admission process as given below:
- The BHU application process is conducted in online mode through the official website of NTA (nta.ac.in). The fee for General category students is INR 750, INR 700 for OBC-NCL/EWS, and INR 650 for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender.
- Candidates need to download the admit card by visiting the official website of CUET 2025 and clicking on 'Download CUET Admit Card'.
- After the declaration of the CUET result, students seeking admission to BHU UG courses are required to apply online for CUET-UG Counselling on the BHU UG admission portal.
- Further, candidates are required to participate in an online counselling process for provisional admission to the course (s). After that, the final seat allotment will be done by BHU.
M.D. cutoff is based on NEET PG scores for admission to the MD and MS courses. As per NEET PG cutoff the Round 1 closing ranks for top courses including MD in Radiodiagnosis closed at 159 and MD in Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy closed at 388 for the General category All India candidates. Also, NEET PG was concluded after the release of the Round 5 Seat Allotment. Banaras Hindu University course admissions is entrance-based for most of the programmes. Thus, one-year dropper student can apply for the desired course, however, qualifying the respective entrance is the a must. Apart from this, aspirant should meet the course-specific minimum eligibility requirements as well.
Moreover, the student can be asked to submit an application regarding the reason for drop out. Sometimes even this is not required.
