- BHU CAP UG 2026 Registrations are now live. The last date to register for UG admissions is Jul 25, 2026 (11:59 pm).
- The JOSAA 2026 round 5 seat allotment results for admission to the BE/BTech course have been announced. Online reporting can be done till Jul 20, 2026.
- CAT 2026 exam for MBA admission at IMS BHU is scheduled for Nov 29, 2026. The application process for the same will tentatively begin in August 2026.

CUET score required for BHU admission depends on candidates' selected course and reservation category. CUET UG cut-off for BHU admission 2026 is yet to be released. As per the BHU CUET cut-off 2025, the closing CUET UG score for admission to most courses ranged from 500 to 600 for the General AI category. For some courses, such as BSc Computer Science & BSc Mathematics with Statistics, the closing score was between 400 and 500 for the General AI category. Cut-off scores for reserved categories like OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and EWS are usually 15-20% lower than the General AI category.
BHU Fee Breakup 2026
The BHU fee structure is inclusive of multiple components. The components are tuition fees, registration fee, hostel and mess charges, other one-time fees, etc. The students who are selected for admissions have to pay the fee on the time as per instructed by the university. BHU placements are good. The highest and average packages secured by MBA students in 2025 were INR 19.8 LPA and INR 10.1 LPA, respectively. Median salary stood at INR 9.2 LPA. The university has not yet released the placement data 2026 for other courses. During the placement drive 2025, a total of 177 placement drives were held, and more than 950 students were placed.
BHU has a dediacted placement cell which invites prominent companies for the placement drives. During the Banaras Hindu University 2025 placement drive, more than 65 companies participated. Some of the eminent recruiters during the 2025 placements included Cognizant, Genpact, Adani Wilmar, IBM, Infosys, Wipro, Deloitte, KPMG, etc.

BHU does not accept JEE Main scores for BTech course admission. The interested students need to take the CUET-UG entrance exam to be eligible for selection. Students who get shortlisted based on exam score have to take part in counselling. The seats are allotted in this round only.
Yes, to apply for BHU BSc (Hons) course, candidates need to register online for CUET-UG. From 2022, the BHU-UET exam is replaced with this exam. Based on the merit of candidates' performance in the entrance exam, candidates are then required to register separately for the counselling round. National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted CUET-UG entrance test from May 21 to Jun 23 and the result was declared on Jul 15.
The total tuition fees for BTech is INR 3.2 lakh - INR 8 lakh at BHU. The total fee includes tuition fee, hostel fee, security deposit, registration fee, etc. Aspirants must pay the course fees to confirm their seat.
BHU accepts CUET scores for admission to UG and PG courses. The admissions are over within few weeks of CUET counselling. CUET-PG is usually held in March whereas CUET-UG takes place in May.
