IIT Delhi Cutoff 2025: Check JEE Advanced Round Wise Closing Ranks

IIT Delhi cutoff 2025 for BTech admission has been released for Round 1. The cutoff was released as opening and closing ranks for different categories of students belonging to the AI quota. During Round 1, the BTech admission cutoffs were between 125 and 5608, with CSE being the most competitive specialisation for admission. Considering the IIT Delhi JEE Advanced Round 2 closing ranks for the General AI category students,  B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering experienced a significant increase of +101 ranks in its closing rank from 2023 to 2025. The second largest rise in the closing rank was +94 for B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering. The rise in the cutoff ranks indicates that the cutoff ranks for these branches have comparatively more relaxed cutoff ranks in 2025 as compared to those of 2023. IIT Delhi BTech in Electrical Engineering cutoff 2025 for the last round was 211 for the SC category students in the AI quota. The opening rank for the same stood at 156 during the concluding round. The JEE Advanced cutoff for 2025 has been released for Round 1. For BTech in Chemical Engineering, the JEE Advanced last round closing ranks were 2548 and 2464 for IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay, respectively, for the students belonging to the General AI quota. For CSE admission at IIT Gandhinagar, the last round closing rank stood at 2020. Therefore, regardless of the branch you get, IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay are also considered to be better options due to their brand value, academics, and placements. 

In case your preference is only CSE, IIT Gandhinagar is not a bad option, as it is also known for its academics and faculty. Plus the CSE branch has better placement opportunities. IIT Delhi offers MBA admission on the basis of candidates' performace in CAT exam. The Cutoff is released in the form of percentile. The IIT Delhi CAT Cutoff 2024 has been released, wherein the cutoff percentile for the General category student is 98.04. The institute offers MBA course via its Department of Management Studies (DMS IIT Delhi). DMS IIT Delhi releases two types of CAT cutoffs, namely the qualifying CAT cutoff and the final CAT cutoff. Securing a minimum qualifying cutoff just means that the candidate is eligible for the next step in the admission procedure. 

IIT Delhi CAT Cutoff 2024 has been released for admission to the MBA course. With a UCCED cutoff rank of 30, it is very difficult for students belonging to the OBC AI quota to secure a seat at IIT Delhi for admission to the B.Des course. The cutoff ranks vary for each round and category. UCEED Round 1 closing ranks over three years for B.Des at IIT Delhi ranged between 20 and 26 for the OBC category candidates. Therefore, it is not possible for students to gain admission during Round 1 with a rank of 30. However, if the seats remain vacant until the last round, there is a slight chance that the institute will provide some relaxation in the cutoff ranks in the subsequent round to fill its seats. The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi offers a four-year full-time programme at the undergraduate level. IIT Delhi B.Des admission is based on candidates' performance in the UCEED entrance exam, followed by a counselling process. The IIT Delhi UCEED cutoff 2025 has been released for Round 1, wherein the closing rank for the general AI category student was 35. For other categories, including OBC and SC, the first round closing rank stood at 21 and 11, respectively, for candidates seeking admission to the B.Des course at IIT Delhi. 

IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay accept the UCEED exam for B.Des admission. However, IIT Delhi offers a B.Des course via its own campus, and IIT Bombay offers a full-time B.Des course via its center called Industrial Design Centre (IDC). In 2025, the last round of UCEED cutoff rank was 41 for B.Des admission at IIT Delhi. For IIT Bombay, the cutoff rank was 14. So, considering the ranks, IIT Bombay was the most competitive among the aspirants for B.Des admission as compared to that of IIT Delhi. To make an informed decision, candidates can also compare other parameters, such as tuition fees and median salary of both these colleges. 

For students belonging to the SC AI quota, a cutoff rank between 260 and 1478 is considered to be a safe rank for MSc admission at IIT Delhi. The better (lower) your rank, the higher is the probability of securing a seat at IIT Delhi for MSc. This is the overall cutoff range for MSc admission, including all the rounds and specialisations for the SC category students.
