Candidates seeking admission to Jamia Millia Islamia for BA must have passed Class 12 or SSC with a minimum aggregate ranging from 40-50%. The passing percentage is different for different specialisations offered in the BA programme. Admission to Jamia Millia Islamia for BA and BA (Hons) is subject to either CUET (conducted by NTA) or JMI entrance exam. Till 2021, admission was subject to the JMI entrance exam across all specialisations. However, starting 2022, admission to a few BA (Hons) specialisations is CUET-based and for the rest, it is university-level entrance-based. As per the CUET UG website, students seeking admission to BA at Jamia Millia must appear for and qualify CUET exam. However, since some universities are also considering other components while giving admission to CUET-UG based courses, it could be a possibility of getting into JMI without CUET. But, this being said there is no official information on whether the university will only consider CUET UG scores or other components as well for admission, it is tough to give the right answer. Jamia Millia Islamia offers seat reservations in almost all the courses based on the category of the students. Candidates seeking admission under the reserved category can apply for reservation under one category only and are required to fulfil the prescribed eligibility conditions of the course. More details regarding JMI reservation criteria are enlisted below:

• 30% of the total number of seats in each course are reserved for Muslim applicants. 10% of the total number of seats in each course are reserved for women applicants
  who are Muslims and 10% of the total number of seats in each course shall be earmarked for (OBCs) and ST students who are Muslims.
• 5% of seats in all the courses are reserved for physically challenged students.
• 5% of seats in all courses must be filled by internal students of Jamia who have passed their qualifying exam from Jamia schools as regular students.

Economics, Hindi, Sanskrit, Spanish & Latin American Studies, French and Turkish Language & Literature will consider CUET scores for admission starting 2022. Jamia Millia Islamia offers BA (Hons) programme across 17 specialisations along with a BA programme. For all the remaining specialisations (other than the aforementioned ones, the university will conduct its own entrance exam, namely JMI Entrance Exam for final admission. However, before every other criteria, all the interested students must have completed their Class 12 with 50% aggregate.

Jamia Millia Islamia is a popular and affordable public university in Delhi. Tuition fee for all the departments at JMI ranges between 5 K to 20 K per year. The hostel and mess fees are minimal, totalling 38 K for the entire year. JMI is also known for having the Faculty of Architecture & Ekistics. The university runs Radio Jamia on 90.4 FM, with a variety of programs.

AJK Mass Communication Research Centre offers a one-year PG Diploma in the full-time mode. The total fee payable over the course duration ranges from INR 59,320 to INR 74,320. The exact amount that a candidates pays depends on their choice of specialisation. The fee is payable in annual instalments. The first instalment may also include certain one-time charges.
