At the undergraduate level, this deemed University offers BTech across 30 specialisations along with Integrated MTech across two specialisations. Admission to all these courses is subject to JEE Main scores for 50% of the seats and is subject to Class 12 scores for the remaining 50% of the seats. The application process for all these courses is conducted via online mode only. There are no cutoff details available on SASTRA University official website for admission to the MBA programme. SASTRA University inducts candidates for the MBA programme based on valid scores in CAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ AIMCAT. Candidates based on their scores in any one of the aforementioned exam will be shortlisted for the Personal Interview (PI) round.

The University has not released the placement report as of now. According to the NIRF report 2025, the median package offered to BTech and MTech students of the batch 2024 was INR 7.6 LPA and INR 5.5 LPA.

As per the official website, 2265 seats are available across all 32 BTech specialisations. These specialisations include Aerospace Engineering, CSE, ECE, Mechanical, Robotics & Artificial Intelligence and Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, among others. Other than these courses, SASTRA University also offers two specialisations under 5-year integrated M.Tech programme, namely Biotechnology and Medical Nanotechnology. 1. 50% of the seats are filled based on JEE Main scores and normalised marks of Class 12. JEE Main scores and Class 12 scores are given equal weightage. 
2. Only Class 12 scores are required for admission to 50% of the remaining seats.

SASTRA University BTech seat intake at the main campus is 2265 and at Srinivasa Ramanujan Centre, the seat intake is 420. There is no seat reservation policy followed by SASTRA University. However, admission to 50% of the total seats are done considering the candidate's performance in JEE Mains and Class 12 (equal weightage given to both aspects), and the remaining 50% of seats are filled based on the merit secured in Class 12.

The SASTRA University average package has not been disclosed officially. Looking at the median package, an improving trend was observed in the BTech and BA LLB/ BCom LLB/ BBA LLB courses. SASTRA University BTech admission for the academic year 2024 has not yet started. In 2023, BTech applications were released in Aprit 23, 2023 and the deadline for submission was June 24, 2023. Based on the last year's schedule, it can be expected that this year also the SASTRA University BTech applications will release in April and the last date to apply will fall in June.
