QS World University Rankings 2026 have been released. According to the same, SRMIST ranks within 1001-1200 under the category "World University".

NIRF 2025 Rankings are out. As per the latest NIRF 2025 rankings, SRM Institute of Science and Technology ranks #14 under the category 'Engineering'.

The TANCET 2026 registration process for admission to MBA and MCA programmes is anticipated to commence in Jan 2026.
CUET 2026 registration process has started for admission to several UG courses. Candidates can fill out the application form until Jan 31, 2026. The CUET exam 2026 is scheduled to take place from May 11, 2026, to May 31, 2026.

SRM Institute of Science and Technology Admission Process and Important Dates 2026

The mode of SRM University course admissions is primarily online. Admission to the courses is done based on merit and entrance exam scores. For the BTech course admission, SRM University Chennai conducts the SRMJEEE UG exam, and, for admission to its MBA programme, the university conducts the SRMJEEM exam. The SRMJEEE 2026 application process for all courses opened on Nov 3, 2025 and is currently ongoing.

SRM Institute of Science and Technology admission also accepts many state and national-level entrance exams such as CAT, TANCET, and MAT, for MBA admissions. Candidates willing to get admission to the SRMIST MTech programme must appear for the SRMJEEE PG exam.
