A range of entrance exam results are accepted by the SRM Institute of Hotel Management (SRM IHM) for admission to its undergraduate and graduate programs. The exact entrance exam that each programme requires to be admitted will differ from programme to program. Undergraduate programs like B.Sc. in Hotel Management, B.Sc in Culinary Science, B.Sc. in Hospitality Studies, B.Sc in Travel and Tourism Management, and B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration consider the NCHMCT JEE exams.

For Postgraduate Programs like M.Sc. in Hospitality Management, M.Sc. in Culinary Arts, and MBA in Hospitality Management often consider the scores of CAT, MAT, XAT, and TANCET. SRM IHM will also take into consideration the applicant's employment history, extracurricular activities, and academic record in addition to the aforementioned factors when making an admissions decision. Even if a candidate's entrance exam score is marginally below the cutoff, admission to the programme is more likely to occur if they have a strong academic record and participate in relevant extracurricular activities.

SRM University conducts SRM JEE exam for admission to Engineering courses. The university does not accept scores for any other entrance exams. Also, direct admission is not valid either. Candidates are shortlisted for BTech and M.Tech based on their past academic records and scores obtained in the entrance exam. 

To sit for the respective exams, candidates must apply for the exams priorly and make a preparation strategy to ace the exam. 

Yes, candidates can get admission to BTech without JEE Main score. Admission to BTech course is only based on SRMJEEE score. Candidates are required to pass Class 12 with minimum 60% aggregate as per the minimum eligibility criteria. Further, aspirants must qualify for SRM JEE exam with a valid score. SRM University Chennai offers Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) courses at the UG level in the Medical stream through NEET UG scores followed by round-wise NEET Counselling. As per SRM University Chennai cutoff 2024, the last-round closing rank was 195886 for admission to the MBBS course. The Round 1 closing rank for the same stood at 637582 for the students belonging to the General AI quota. 

For BDS admission, the NEET UG first and last-round closing ranks were 980273 and 980273, respectively.
