VIT Vellore Admission 2025 (Open): Fees, Eligibility, Dates & Selection Process

The institute conducts VITEEE for BTech admission, VITMEE for M.Tech admissions and VITREE for PhD admission. The institute accepts national-level entrance exams like CAT, XAT, MAT, GMAT, CMAT, ATMA, etc., for MBA course. However, admission to a few other courses, including BSc, BSc (Hons), BCA, BCom, MSc, MCA, among others, is based on the aggregate obtained by the candidates in previous qualifying degree/ exam (merit-based). After passing the entrance exam, aspirants are called further rounds of selection. Shortlisted aspirants need to come for counselling and document verification round. 

VIT Vellore offers BDes with a duration of four years. Candidates seeking admission to BDes courses must pass Class 10 and Class 12 from a recognised board. The admission to the BDes course is UCEED entrance-based. Further, VIT conducts VIT-DAT for students who have not attended UCEED exams. Candidates seeking admission to the VIT Business School PhD programme can apply for the VITREE exam. It is conducted by VIT Vellore. Moreover, the application fees to apply and appear for the exam is INR 1,200. This fee is nonrefundable. Moreover, students must note that the aforementioned fees is as per official sources. However, it is subject to change.

VIT Vellore accepts VITEEE cutoff 2024 was concluded for admission to the BTech specialisations. However, the authorities did not release the VIT Vellore VITEEE 2024 cutoff online, and it was only accessible to candidates who appeared for the entrance exam. VIT Vellore's cut off depends on several factors and will be used in the preparation of the merit list for the counselling and admission process.

VIT Business School accepts VITREE scores for PhD admissions. Thus, candidates interested in taking admission can apply for the exam. The steps to apply are as follows:

1. Go to the official website of the institute.

2. Click on the 'VITREE' under the research programmes tab.

3. Create a new candidature account using your active email ID & contact number.

4. Enter your personal, educational, and other relevant details.

5. Attach the required documents.

6. Pay the application fees of INR 1,200.

7. Submit the form.

VIT Vellore officials do not release any VITEEE cutoff data in the public domain. However, as per the data collated from multiple sources regarding VITEEE 2021 cutoff, here are a few important highlights and predictions for VITEEE cutoff:

• VIT (most probably) will call the first 20,000 rank holders of VITEEE for Phase-1 of counselling which will start from July onwards
• VIT university uses equating methodology to calculate candidate’s marks
• Candidates with a score of 118 or above are likely to fall between 1-250 rank range
• Those with less than 31 marks are expected to have a rank of 20,000 or below

1. Visit the website and click on 'New Users may register here'.
2. Click on 'Register' through mobile number.
3. Click on 'Verify OTP'.
4. Click on 'Application Form'.
5. Check 'I am aware' box and click on 'I Agree'.
6. Fill all required details and click on 'Save'.
7. Proceed to Pay.
8. Click on 'Pay Now'.

Documents required at the time of application

1. Scanned photograph and signature
2. Copy of age proof certificate/ copy of Aadhaar Card
3. Copy of Class 12 hall ticket (for result awaited applicants)
4. Copy of Class 12 marksheet (of all appearance)
5. Copy of Community Certificate (for SC/ ST applicants)
6. Copy of Nativity Certificate (for applicants hailing from North Eastern States and Jammu & Kashmir/ Ladakh)

The total fee for MSc ranges between INR 1.22 Lacs and INR 2.22 lakh. This fee includes a one-time caution deposit of INR 2,000.

Vellore Institute of Technology offers scholarships in the form of tuition waivers and freeships.  In addition, scholarships are given to students who excel in sports and games. Financial assistance is also provided to students who wish to do their project work in partner universities and institutions abroad, under the Semester Abroad Programme (SAP). Eligible students with meritorious records in State/ Central board examinations or VITEEE rank holders will need to present marksheet/ copy of marksheet or VITEEE scorecard along with all the other relevant documents while applying.  

VIT Vellore offers scholarships in the form of tuition waivers and freeships. While merit scholarships are awarded to class toppers, economically challenged students are provided need-based financial assistance. Furthermore, NRI and foreign students are given scholarships upon presenting meritorious records. Students from rural backgrounds who secure top ranks in VITEEE at the district level (in Tamil Nadu only) are given free education. Check below the detail for some of the scholarships:

VIT BTech Biotechnology curriculum include subjects related to the specialisation field. The course curriculum include programme core, university core, electives, and bridge courses. Its course curriculum shall include semester-wise syllabus of the eight semesters. Some of the subjects included in the VIT BTech Biotechology curriculum are:
