Animation is a form of digital art. Candidates who pursue animation course can get the opportunity to work in various digital fields.

The candidates who realize their interest in the field of animation early on, can pursue Animation UG courses after completing class 12. The candidates who have already completed their graduation can take admission in Animation PG courses. However, it is important for candidates to know that graduates from animation field are given preference by colleges in Animation PG admission.

Diploma and Certification Animation courses are also available in regular as well as online modes. PhD Animation courses are offered by many Indian Institutes and is preferred by candidates who wish to work in Animation academia.

Some institutes enroll students in Animation Diploma Courses based on their 10th standard marks. For Animation UG Courses and some Animation Diploma Courses most colleges offer Animation course admission based on 12th board marks or marks in equivalent exam. For Animation PG Courses and Animation PhD courses candidates are shortlisted based on their marks in previous academic qualification.

Some of the renowned Animation colleges are National Institute of Design, Boston Institute of Analytics and Loyola College Admission. The Animation Course Fee ranges from 700 to 52.26 Lakh.

Animation Course Eligibility

Animation Courses are offered at all academic levels. The eligibility criteria for each level is different. Candidates must note that the eligibility details mentioned below are subject to change as different colleges have different eligibility criteria for Animation admission.

Animation Course Admission Procedure

The admission to Animation courses in India is conducted in two major ways which are as follow:

  • Admission based on Animation Entrance Exam
  • Admission based on Merit

Steps to get Entrance Exam based Admission in Animation Course

For Animation Admission through entrance exams, candidates have to go through follow a certain process that might differ for each entrance exam.

A generic entrance exam procedure for admission is given below that is followed by most institutes during selection process:

Step 1: Check the eligibility criteria for specific Animation colleges and Animation entrance exams.

Step 2: Check for online notification of Animation entrance exam. Read the notification well.

Step 3: Fill in the Animation online application on the entrance exam website or college website.

Step 4: Make online fee payment. After that check if you have received any mail for successful completion of registration.

Step 5: When the admit card for Animation entrance exam is released, download it and take a printout of it.

Step 6: Appear for the Animation entrance exam and perform well

Step 7: When the Animation entrance exam results are released check your score and the Animation colleges cut off.

Step 8: There can be further rounds of selection depending on the Animation college.

Step 9: Document Verification Process is usually the final formality to be completed before the completion of Animation admission process.

Ways to get Merit based Admission in Animation Course

The procedure for admission to Animation courses on the basis of merit can differ depending on the colleges offering Animation admission. However, there are two ways in which candidates can seek merit based Animation admission:

Applying online on Animation college website:

  • The candidates have to register themselves on the admission portal of the concerned Animation college’s website.
  • They would have to upload the necessary documents and make online fee payment.
  • The candidates may have to visit the Animation college for further admission procedure depending on the college policies.

Offline Animation Admission Process:

  • In this procedure candidates visit the college campus, fill in the application form, produce the required documents and make fee payment.
