Every Indian Institute of Management (IIM) which accepts the IPMAT scores has its unique admission process:

IIM Indore conducts the IPMAT Indore exam for admission to the five-year integrated programme in management. Other IIMs such as IIM Sirmaur, IIM Amritsar, IIM Ranchi and IIM Shillong also accept the scores of IPMAT Indore for admission to their IPM programme. The scores are accepted by some other top management institutes as well. 

IIM Rohtak also conducts the IPMAT exam for admission to its 5-year IPM programme. The scores of IPMAT Rohtak are accepted only by IIM Rohtak. 

IIM Jammu and IIM Bodhgaya also offers the IPM course but accepts JIPMAT for admissions. 

No, clearing the IPMAT exam and matching the cutoff criteria is only the first phase of the IPMAT admission process. Candidates will have to go through for further selection procedure conducted by the participating institutes for the second phase. The IPMAT scores are accepted by IIM Indore, IIFT,  NICMAR Institute of Ranchi,  NICMAR University,  NICMAR University,  Department of Management Studies, NALSAR University of Law and Institute of Management, Nirma University Candidates need to meet the cutoff criteria of the participating institutes to take admissions. The admission process includes Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI).

Other factors such as academic record, work experience, etc. are also considered for admission to various institutes which accept IPMAT scores. IPMAT score is only the first parameter on which the candidates are shortlisted for admission. The institutes first shortlist the candidates for WAT, GD and PI on the basis of their IPMAT scores, marks obtained in Class 10 and Class 12. For the final selection, the institutes take IPMAT scores, performance in GD/PI, What, Class 10 and Class 12 marks, work experience, academic diversity and gender diversity into consideration. 

The IPMAT result will be declared online after the exam is conducted. The IPMAT result cum scorecard is an important document for the IIM Indore's admission process. The following details are mentioned on every candidate's IPMAT scorecard:

1. Name of the candidate
2. IPMAT application number
3. Candidate's photograph
4. Candidate's signatures
5. Overall score obtained by the candidate
6. Sectional scores obtained by the candidate
7. Rank of the candidate

IPMAT result 2026 is expected to be released in the first week of June 2026. Scorecard for IPMAT exam will be available on the IIM Indore website. The IPMAT result card will be available on the official website only and the candidates will be able to check their result using their login details. The exam was conducted on May 4, 2026. 

After the IPMAT result declaration, colleges which accept the IPMAT scores start the shortlisting process. The IPMAT scores are accepted by IIM Indore, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT),  Indian Institute of Ranchi,  Alliance University,   Department of Management Studies, NALSAR University of Law and Institute of Management, Nirma University  After the results, the Indian Institute of Management, Indore, releases the IPMAT cutoffs category-wise and invite applicants to appear for Written Ability Test, Group Discussion GD and Personal Interview rounds for admissions. Candidates can register themselves on the official websites of the participating institutes and take part in the IPMAT counselling process. The IPMAT admission process after the result declaration includes:

1. Applications to be sent out to the institutes where you want to take admission.
2. Participating in the counselling process which includes Written Ability Test (What), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).
3. Submitting the required documents to the institutes where you have been shortlisted.
4. Paying the course fee and getting an admission confirmation.

IPMAT result was announced on the official website of IIM Indore. Candidates who appeared for the test were able to download their scorecards from the official website by using their login credentials, i.e. Application number and password. Given below is the process to follow for downloading the IPMAT result. 

1. Visit the official website

2. Click on the ‘Results’ tab on the homepage

3. Enter the application form number

4. Enter the registered email id or Date of Birth in DD/MM/YY format

5. Enter security code

6. Click on the ‘Get Status’ tab

7. IPMAT result will appear on the screen

8. Download and take a printout of the same
