Kerala Education Minister V Sivankutty announced that the Kerala SSLC syllabus will be reduced by 25 per cent from 2027. The Kerala SSLC textbooks published for the year 2027 will have the reduced syllabus. The Kerala SSLC curriculum committee has already approved the reduction. The Kerala SSLC syllabus has been decided to be reduced as students frequently complain about the heavy academic workload.
