The course-wise placement details for the Class of 2025 are yet to be released on the official website of IIT Kharagpur. As per the media reports, over 400 recruiters visited the IIT Kharagpur campus for 2025 placements and offered over 1,800 job offers, including 409 PPOs and 25 international offers to the students. The last round cutoff in 2025 ranged from 466 to 19141 for the General AI category students, wherein BTech (Hons) Computer Science and Engineering was the toughest branch to get admission to. On the other hand, the easiest course for admission was the Bachelor of Architecture.

The cutoff was released category-wise for students seeking admission to the BTech/Integrated BTech/BSc specialisations at the college. As per the cutoff range, it is possible to get admission to the college at 10,000 rank in JEE Advanced. Yes, IIT Kharagpur does accept GATE scores for admission to its M.Tech programme. Applicants must have a valid GATE score relevant to the discipline of their qualifying degree.
