MITID DAT application form 2026 - The MITID DAT 2026 Application forms are expected to be available from the last week of August 2025. The application fee is expected to be around INR 3,000 for Indian applicants and INR 4,500 for NRI, PIO, CIO, and Foreign Nationals. The MITID DAT Admission is conducted in two cycles: Cycle I and Cycle II.
The last date to apply for MITID DAT Cycle 1 will be in February 2026 and the last date to fill out the application for Cycle 2 will be in the second week of April 2026. To complete the application form, the candidate must register, fill in their personal, academic, and contact details, upload the required documents, and pay the application fee.

The MIT Institute of Design conducted the Design Entrance Test (DET) 2026 for the B.Des and M.Des courses in the first week of April 20226. Candidates who qualify the Design Aptitude Test have to appear in a Situation Test & Personal Interview. The Design Entrance Test, Studio Test & Interview round are expected to be conducted in the last week of April 2026. The application fee for MITID DAT 2025 is INR 3,000 for Indian nationals.

It is mandatory for candidates to appear in all the stages of the MITID DAT 2025 exam. This means, candidates who have qualified the written exam but doesn't appear in the Studio Test and Interview, he or she will not be included in the final results.
The MITID DAT 2025 application form is open in online mode. Applications submitted in offline mode will not be accepted. As part of the application process, the candidate will have to get registered, fill in all the details, upload documents, and pay the application fee.
Candidates who missed this edtion of the exam may apply in the next edition, provided they meet the eligibility criteria.

How to Fill MITID DAT 2026 Application Form
Candidates need to follow the steps to successfully fill out the application form for MITID DAT 2026.
Step 1: Register for MITID DAT Exam
To register for the exam, follow these steps:

- You will be redirected to a registration/login page
- New users need to fill in the registration form by entering their email ID and contact number, and then selecting a password for the applicant account.
Step 2: Fill MITID DAT Application Form
Once the applicant has been created, the candidate can proceed to fill in the rest of the form.

- Parents’ information: Parents’ names, email IDs, mobile numbers, etc.

A. Admit cards for the MITID DAT 2025 exam was released a few days before the conduct of the Design Aptitude Test. To download the admit card, the candidate had to enter their candidate credentials. On the day of the exam, the candidate had to bring their admit card and a valid photo id proof.
The admit card contained details like the date and time of the exam, reporting time, and exam-day guidelines. Note that adoption of unfair means inside the exam hall could lead to disqualification.
