MITID DAT 2022: FINAL Result (OUT for M.Des programs), Link to Download Result, Admission Process

MITID DAT 2022 - The MIT Institute of Design has DECLARED the final results of MITID DAT 2022 for all M.Des programs on May 18, 2022. The results have been declared in online mode at the official website of the institute and can be checked by entering one's roll number. The link to check MITID DAT 2022 results is given below.

The MIT Institute of Design had previously declared the final results for the B.Des and B.Des.Fashion programs on May 11, 2022.

The final result-cum-merit list is prepared by considering: 1) MIT DAT 2022 scores and 2) the performance of the candidate in the Studio Test and Personal Interview.

The Studio Test and Personal Interview(PI) for the B.Des and B.Des Fashion programs were held from April 30-May 9, 2022, while the Studio Test and PI for the M.Des programs were held from May 10-16, 2022.

Candidates were shortlisted for the Studio Test and PI based on their performance in the Design Aptitude Test (DAT 2022), which was conducted on April 3, 2022. The result of the Design Aptitude Test (DAT) 2022 was declared on April 21, 2022.

MITID DAT 2022 Application Process

For admission to design courses offered at MIT Institute of Design, Pune, Avantika University, Ujjain and MIT University, Shillong, the candidate had to fill out the MITID DAT application form following the steps given below.

Step 1: Register for MITID DAT 2022

For MITID-DAT registrations, candidates had to register on the official website of MIT Institute of Design in online mode. An automated verification link is sent to the candidate's registered email ID. They have to activate their account by clicking the link.

Step 2: Fill the application form

After activating their account, candidates had to fill the required details in the application form and upload their passport size photograph. After that, candidates have to accept the declaration and submit the online application form.

Step 3: Pay the application fee

After successfully submitting the form, candidates had to proceed to the payment option and pay the application fee.

Step 4: Get MITID DAT Admit Card

The admit card was generated and sent to the candidate's registered email id after scrutiny, verification and acceptance of the application form. Candidates could also download their Admit Card by logging to their profile on MIT DAT portal. MITID DAT admit card contains details such as the name and roll number of the candidate as well as the date, time, and allotted centre for the design entrance exam.

UG Course Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have passed Class 12 in any stream from a recognized board such as HSC, CBSC, ICSE, IB meet MITID-DAT 2022 eligibility criteria for BDes programme.

PG Course Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have an undergraduate degree in 10+2+3 pattern from a recognized university fulfill MITID-DAT 2022 eligibility criteria for MDes programme.

MITID DAT 2022 Admission Process

MIT DAT (MIT Design Aptitude Test) 2022, was conducted jointly for admissions in B.Des & M.Des programs offered at MIT Institute of Design (MIT ID) Pune, MITID Ujjain (Avantika University) Ujjain & MITID Shillong (MIT University Shillong). Candidates seeking admission to these institutes have to follow the process as under:

Step 1: Appear for MITID DAT

After getting the admit card, candidates had to appear in the Design Aptitude Test (DAT), which was conducted on 3rd April 2022 at various test centres across India.

Step 2: Check MITID DAT Result

The final results for the M.Des programs has been announced on May 18, 2022. The final results of MITID-DAT 2022 for the B.Des and B.Des. Fashion courses were announced on May 11, 2022. 

The final result for MITID DAT 2022 is prepared by considering the performance of the candidate in:

1. The Studio Test and Personal Interview
2. Design Aptitude Test (DAT)

The results of the Design Aptitude Test (DAT) were released earlier on April 21, 2021. The results of DAT are used to shortlist candidates for the Studio Test and Personal Interview.

Step 3: Give Studio Test and Personal Interview

Candidates shortlisted in MITID-DAT then need to appear for the studio test followed by the personal interview round, which will be conducted separately by MIT Institute of Design Pune, Avantika University Ujjain & MIT University Shillong. The list of shortlisted candidates for the Studio test and Personal Interview will be announced on the respective websites of MIT ID Pune, Avantika University Ujjain & MIT University Shillong.

Note: As per the official website of Design Aptitude Test:

• The Admission Committee decides the procedures, grades and weightage every year.
• The norms for the selection are the sole prerogative of the Admission Committee and the decision of the Admission Committee and the Management in any of the matters concerning the admission process and selection will be final. Any direct or indirect attempt to influence the admission committee or its members, academic office bearers or management will lead to the automatic disqualification of the candidate(s).
