NIT Nagaland MSc is a regular programme for graduate students. The PG-level programme is offered in the field of Chemistry and Physics. The MSc at NIT Nagaland is delivered in a full-time mode that lasts for two years. The course curriculum is spread across four semesters. NIT Nagaland MSc admission is entrance-based. NIT Nagaland MSc Admission dates 2025
MSc admission at NIT Nagaland begins with the registration of IIT Jam, which was available until October for the next academic year. IIT Jam has released the admit card dates, exam dates, results dates, etc. Registration has been closed for the IIT Jam exam, admit cards will be available soon. The first round of seat allotment of CCMN will be out in the first week for June 2026, tentatively. The official dates of first round of CCMN seat allotment were released on the official notification.
After the first allotment is done, the document verifying officer will notify the applicants to further participate in the counselling process.

Exam dates for IIT JAM for admission to NIT Nagaland MSc is scheduled on February 11,2024. As per the exam pattern of IIT Jam, the exam is conducted online as a Computer Based Test (CBT). IIT Jam will have two papers, Paper 1 will include Chemistry, Geology, and Mathematics. Paper 2 will cover economics, Biotechnology, Physics, and Mathematics Statitics. The duration of the IIT Jam exam is three hours and has Multiple Choice (MCQ) and Integer Value (Numerical Value Answer) type questions. IIT Jam exam papers will be for 100 marks.
IIT JAM 2025 examination for the academic session 2025-2026 will be conducted by IIT Delhi, the examination conducting body. Aspirants who had earlier filled the JAM 2025 application form with the required eligibility will be able to give the JAM 2025 examination. IIT JAM 2025 examination is scheduled to be held on February 2, 2025. JAM 2025 is a Computer Based Test (CBT) to be conducted in SEVEN Test Papers at the undergraduate level.

To apply for the MSc at NIT Nagaland, candidates first must qualify for the eligibility criteria: B.Sc. No, you can not get into NIT Nagaland's BTech programme without having appeared in JEE Mains. The main selection criteria of the course is scores obtained in the JEE Mains exam only, hence, admission without it is not possible. Participating in the JoSAA counselling is also necessary.
