NID DAT 2025 Toppers - The National Institute of Design (NID) declared the final results for the NID DAT 2025 exam for the B.Des program on May 16, 2025. The M.Des DAT Mains results were announced on May 06, 2025. The results will be available online on the admission portal of NID - admissions.nid.edu.
Candidates who qualify in the B.Des DAT Mains exam must submit campus preferences from May 16-18. NID DAT 2025 seat allotment to the B.Des program will be based on the campus selected and the merit rank of the candidate.

NID DAT Mains exam for M.Des will be tentatively conducted on March 08, 2027. Personal Interview will be tentatively from March 21, 2027, to April 01, 2027. NID Admit card for M.Des Mains will be tentatively out on February 24, 2027.
The National Institute of Design (NID) will conduct the DAT Prelims exam in the third week of December 2026. B.Des exam will be held around 10 am - 1 pm. The candidates will be required to report for the exam at 8 am. Gates' closing time will be 9.30 am. DAT Prelims for the B.Des programme will be conducted in a paper-and-pencil/pen mode.
Details of NID DAT 2027 Exam centre, name, address, and reporting time are given in the NID DAT 2027 Admit card. DAT Prelims admit card will be available for download from December.
No, National Institute of Design may not make any arrangements for a baggage counter. So, candidates must bear this in mind when packing for NID DAT Prelims exam.
It is recommended that candidate only pack bare essentials and not bring unnecessary stuff to exam centre. Also, expensive items like smartphones, jewellery, gadgets, etc., should be better left at home.

The reporting time for NID DAT will be mentioned in the Admit card, along with gate closing time, and exam timings and date.
The candidate needs to report for the DAT Prelims exam at 8 am. The gates of the exam center will close at 9:30 AM (or 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam). After that no candidate will be allowed inside the exam hall.

- B.Des - 10 am - 1 pm
- M.Des - 10 am - 12.30 pm
NID DAT Prelims exam will take place in 17 cities in India. Each of these exam cities may have one or more test centres. Candidate will have to select their choice of exam centres for the DAT Prelims exam when filling out the NID DAT Application form. Candidates must be careful when selecting the exam city, because they will not be allowed to change it after the Application edit window closes.

NID DAT FINAL Result - Test components
The NID DAT entrance exam is conducted in TWO stages. The candidate first appears in DAT Prelims, and if shortlisted, has to next appear in DAT Mains. Both stages are mandatory. The FINAL results of the NID DAT will be prepared by considering the performance of the candidate in the DAT Prelims and DAT Mains. DAT Mains for the B.Des comprises a solitary Studio Test; M.Des applicants also need to appear in a Personal Interview in addition to the Studio Test.

Both institutions offer the BDes course but with completely different admission processes. IIT Indore accepts admission based on the UCEED entrance exam, while BITS Pilani considers the NID Entrance exam/ BITSAT exam result.
