UCEED Admission 2026 - Application (Today), Exam Date, Eligibility, Seat Matrix

The application form for UCEED 2026 will open on October 01, 2025. The last date is October 31, 2025 (regular fees) and November 18 (late fees). UCEED 2026 exam will be conducted on January 18, 2026. 

The UCEED 2026 application form will open from October 1-31, 2025. With late fees, UCEED 2026 applications will be accepted till November 18, 2025. IIT Bombay will conduct the UCEED 2026 exam on January 18, 2026. Part A of the exam will be conducted in a computer-based mode, whereas Part B will be held offline..

The application form for UCEED 2026 is currently online at uceedapp.iitb.ac.in/UCEED/home.jsp.

Candidates who meet the prescribed UCEED 2025 eligibility criteria may apply before the last date.

How to fill UCEED 2026 application form?

The step-wise process to complete the UCEED application form is given below.

1. Register online - The candidate has to register for the exam by entering details like name, email ID, and mobile number
2. Fill in the form - Next, fill in personal, academic, and personal details. 
3. Select test center - The candidate must select THREE test centers in the order of priority. The name and address of the exam center allocated to the candidate will be mentioned in the UCEED 2026 admit card.
4. Upload documents - In the penultimate step, upload documents as per the format.
5. Pay the application fee - Finally, pay the application fee to complete the process.

Documents required for UCEED Registration 2026

The candidate will need the following documents to register for UCEED

• A recent color photograph of full frontal (face) view, with the head centred in the frame covering 70–80% of the photograph and taken within the last six months. The photograph should be such that it allows unambiguous identification of the candidate (only JPEG image formats with file extension .jpg will be accepted).
• Scanned copy of candidate’s full signature on white paper (only JPEG image formats with file extension .jpg will be accepted).
• For those candidates who will be appearing in 2026 for the exam, a certificate from the school/college principal in the given format (Appendix 1) should be uploaded (only PDF formats with file extension .pdf will be accepted). (Note: Appendixes are given in the UCEED 2026 Brochure)
• If the name is not the same as in the Class XII certificate, a gazette notification showing the change of name is required (only PDF formats with file extension .pdf will be accepted).

Candidates seeking admission under the EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST or PwD category

• OBC-NCL (Appendix 2), Caste (for SC), Tribe (for ST) (Appendix 3), EWS (Appendix 4) or PwD certificate (Unique Disability Identification (UDID) certificate or copy of UDID card or Forms in Appendices 5 – 7) issued by a competent authority (only PDF formats with file extension .pdf will be accepted). 
• Dyslexic candidates need to submit FORM-DYSLEXIC 1 and 2 (Appendices 8 and 9) instead of a PwD certificate. The certificate must mention ‘SEVERE’ under Dyslexia category to enable the candidate to get the benefit of PwD category.  

UCEED Eligibility Criteria 2026

The detailed eligibility criteria for the UCEED 2026 exam are given below.

Age limit - The candidate must be born on or after October 1, 2001, if belonging to the Open, EWS, or OBC-NCL category and born on or after October 1, 1995, if belonging to the SC, ST, or PwD category. 

Number of attempts - A candidate can attempt UCEED a maximum of two times, and that too in consecutive years. UCEED score is valid for one year and only for admissions in the same academic year. 

Qualifying examination - A candidate should have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2025 OR 2026 to be eligible for attempting UCEED 2026. Students from ALL STREAMS (Science, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible. Those who appeared for the first time in their qualifying examination (Class XII) in 2023 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in UCEED 2026.

UCEED 2026 Exam Cities

IIT Bombay will conduct the UCEED 2026 exam in 27 cities across India. The candidate can select their choice of exam city when filling out the form.

It is mandatory to select THREE cities in the order of priority. The list of UCEED 2026 exam center is given in the table below.

UCEED Counseling 2026

IIT Bombay will conduct the counseling process for UCEED 2026. A centralized counseling, called the Joint Admission Process, will be held. Candidates who have qualified in the UCEED 2026 exam can participate. The allotment of seats will be done in five rounds. Seat allotment will be based on merit rank and college option selected by the candidate during counseling registration.
