
UCEED Admit Card 2026 - IIT Bombay will release admit cards for the UCEED 2026 exam on January 02, 2026. The admit card has to be downloaded through the candidate portal. Log in to the portal using your email ID and password to download the admit card. Hard copies of the admit card will not be sent to the candidate.
Any changes in the admit card will be permitted till January 08, 2026. The UCEED 2026 exam will be conducted on January 18, 2026 between 9 am - 12 noon.
On exam day, you must bring a valid photo ID proof along with the admit card. The admit card will contain details like the roll number, name, and address of the UCEED 2026 exam center, exam date and timings, and exam center reporting time. In addition, it will also carry exam-day guidelines. Make sure you follow UCEED 2026 exam-day guidelines. Latecomers may not be allowed entry into the UCEED 2026 exam center.
UCEED 2026 Application is expected to open by October 01, 2025, on the official website. The last date to apply with regular fees will be in the second week of November 2025. Candidates who met the prescribed eligibility criteria were able to apply for admission.
IIT Bombay conducted the UCEED 2026 exam on January 18, 2026 (9 am - 12 noon). IIT Bombay will release the detailed admission schedule, including exam dates and the application process. The exam is expected to be conducted in 27 cities across India. Part A will be offline-based, while Part B will be conducted offline. The application process commences in October, generally.
The admit cards for the UCEED 2026 exam will be released in the first week of January 2026. Admit cards will be released for all candidates who successfully complete the application form. The admit card will be released online at uceed.iitb.ac.in.
To download the admit card, you need to log in to the portal using your email ID and password. On the day of the exam, the candidate needs to bring with them a valid photo ID proof and an admit card.

As per instructions given on the admission portal, the candidate is not allowed to leave the exam hall until the exam is over. So, if you are planning to leave the exam hall even before the exam is over, you need to junk them now.
Once the exam is over, the invigilator will collect the answer sheets and complete any other formalities that may be there. Once the process is over, the candidate can come out of the exam hall.
How to Fix Discrepancy in UCEED 2026 Admit Card
Carefully examine ALL the entries in the UCEED admit card. In case of any discrepancy, the candidate has to contact the UCEED Office at IIT Bombay at the following email address: uceed@iitb.ac.in.
Common discrepancies may include:
- The name of the candidate may be incorrectly spelled
- Some information may be missing, for instance, your roll number or the name of the exam center

Impersonation in the UCEED exam is not allowed. Any candidate who is found indulging in such activities will be disqualified. Further, criminal proceedings may also be brought against such candidates. So it is advised that candidates follow the guidelines issued by IIT Bombay for appearing in the exam. Note that in addition to impersonation, activities like cheating, disturbing other candidates during the exam, etc. They are also not allowed.
Exam officials will not make any arrangements for stationery items for appearing in the exam. So, it is the sole responsibility of the candidate to bring the necessary stationery. Here are the basic stationery items one needs to take the UCEED exam: pens, pencils, sketch pens and colours for the examination. The candidate, however, mustn't bring any drawing sheets with them to the exam hall. It is recommended that the candidate carefully go through the list of allowed and barred items before arriving at the UCEED exam centre.
UCEED 2026 Exam-day Guidelines
IIT Bombay notified candidates about the dos and don'ts to be followed at the exam venue through the admit card.

Identity Verification | The candidate's identity will be verified by invigilators as well as IIT representatives. If the identity of a candidate is in doubt, then he or she may not be allowed to appear for the examination. The question paper for the UCEED 2026 exam will be 3 hours long and have two parts. Part A - It will be a computer-based section 2) Part B - It will be a sketching-based and aptitude-based test. The candidate needs to appear in both papers to be included in the merit list. Further, the candidate has to qualify Part A, or else his or else Part B paper answer booklets will only be evaluated. The qualifying marks for Part A will be released before the declaration of results. Part A will include the three types of questions - Numerical Answer Type NAT Multiple Select Question (MSQ), and Multiple Choice Question (MCQ).
If you have six months to prepare for UCEED and not an year, you need to be smart. Here are a few tips to prepare for the exam in six months: Make a study time table. Consult the exam pattern and get isights. Also, refer to the exam syllabus. Another point to note is the difficulty level of the exam. Start your preparation without any delay. Take notes during study. Solve sample papers and take mock tests.
The candidate needs to remember the following points about the Part B question paper of UCEED 2026:
- Part B will include around TWO questions. The question for the section will be shown on the computer monitor.
- The candidate, after reading the question, has to write/ draw the answer option in the answer booklet provided by the invigilator.
- Part B test will evaluate the drawing ability and Design Aptitude of the candidate.
- Part B is mandatory and will only be evaluated if the candidate qualifies for Part A.
- The cut-off marks for Part A will be declared by IIT Bombay before the declaration of results.
The UCEED 2026 question paper for Part A will include three sections.
It will include 28 Multiple Select Questions (MSQs). Each MSQ may have one or more than one correct choice (s) out of the four given.
The following marking scheme will be followed for MSQ-type questions:
- Full Marks: + 4 If only (all) the correct option (s) is (are) chosen and None of the incorrect options is chosen.
- Partial Marks: + 3 If all four options are correct but ONLY three options are chosen, and None of the incorrect options is chosen.
- Partial Marks: + 2 If three or more options are correct but ONLY two options are chosen, both of which are correct and None of the incorrect options is chosen.
- Partial Marks: + 1 If two or more options are correct but ONLY one option is chosen and it is a correct option and None of the incorrect options is chosen.
- Zero Marks: 0 If None of the options is chosen (i.e., the question is unanswered). Negative Marks: -1 In all other cases.
