GATE Application Form 2027 Process
Application for GATE 2027 is submitted online through GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) which is available on the official website: gate2027.iitm.ac.in. Overall, the application process comprises registration, followed by form-filling, facial registration, document uploading, fee payment, and form submission.

Step1 - GATE Registration Process
This is the first stage of the application form. The GATE registration link will be activated on the GOAPS portal. Indian nationals have to register through DigiLocker. For other nationals, they have to provide their full name, email address, mobile number, password, etc.

Contact number and email ID cannot be changed after registration
Once registration is complete, candidates will receive an enrollment ID and password on their provided email ID. These are login credentials that will be required to access GATE candidate login 2027.
Step-2 GATE Form-Filling Process
After registration, candidates have to provide their personal, communication, and educational information. Candidates are advised to keep all their information ready. The following details are needed for form fill-up:

After filling all the above details, candidates must upload their documents for verification. The list of documents include:

Step 4 - Application Fee Payment
After all details are filled, candidates will be redirected to the payment gateway. The accepted payment modes include: Internet banking/credit card/debit card/wallet/UPI. The GATE 2027 registration fee is non-refundable and must be paid before the deadline. If payments are made multiple times due to technical glitches, then the additional amount will be credited to the source account within 15 working days.

NOTE: Candidates must note that the fee mentioned above is for a single test paper. Candidates opting for the secondary GATE paper will have to pay twice the fee.

After submitting GATE exam form, candidates can check application status. The GATE application status determines whether the form is successfully submitted or not. Candidates can check their registration status by following the steps mentioned below:
